So what does the HOF badge actually show? Are the percentages a snapshot of how effective the players on offense can shoot from that spot....or is it a snapshot of how well the defenders are guarding each player?

Just play with the Lakers, he sees their shooting percentage of where they are on the court.
Very annoying!
Guy had 22% for a 3 and it went in, seems to not work well IMO.

Lol I was agreeing with every word until the part about 22% from 3...that does mean he has a 22% chance to make the shot so I guess the sun just shined on him at that moment and he made the shot🤣🤣...it happens

EDIT: But I agree, I don't want to see any of that on-screen assistance crap.

Sometimes I think 2K intentionally puts head-scratching crap in their games just so the next patch or next year's game, when they remove it, it will be seen as "progress". This would be one of them, along with their trend of screwing up organic gameplay with training wheels type visual features like seeing greens, glass cleaners knowing where the reb is going to land, the lines that shows when the ball is vulnerable for a steal, etc.
