It's not complacency or laziness. It's the fact that they've made such a HUGE game and have such a small amount of time to fine tune it that certain things take priority over others. And I hate to break it to you, but Player Qualifying Options in MyLeague, and many of these grips in this article, are at the bottom of that list.

Hopefully someone sees them and they can fix the easier ones though.

Ehh, I could pick out the not signing of 2nd round picks, the G League glitch, and the option problem in 1 hour of simming. Not buying this excuse. Not to mention there are literally hundreds of us on OS alone who would beta test the different modes for free.

And yes, they are at the bottom of the priority list. The priority list goes:

1. Stuff that makes us more money with micro transactions
2. new features that may or may not work (mentoring) but we can advertise.
3. Stuff that doesn't make us money like myleague

I get that it's an annual title and there's limited time to test things but some of these problems have existed for years. One would think a few of those would've been fixed by now.

So we've finally hit the "fix it later" stage.

Welcome to modern gaming, where only the modes with microtransactions get the proper attention.

Re: NBA 2K20 MyLeague: GOAT Contender Off the Rim

Great write up, appreciate the shoutout haha.

I know a few things weren't included in the article that we discussed but there's also a couple things I just noticed/forgot to bring up.

-Quick Edit. The glitch last year was using Quick Edit in MLO and editing multiple players before confirming would cause players heights to swap. I didn't include that this year as a priority because if you wait a few moments this year they swap back. Sooo I guess it's not the end of the world. HOWEVER, hah this one is fun, so now when you quick edit multiple things before confirming, they just may not save. The hard part is you won't even know that until you exit and reenter the league. Essentially if it's too much new info before confirming changes the server forgets haha.
So what I began to do was handle one column at a time, or max 3 to 4 changes at once before confirming changes. So basically, Quick Edit, change 3 or 4 ratings (or badges, tendencies, player info etc) Confirm Changes, Quick Edit again, repeat.

-The framerate on Ps4 is hella f'd up in MLO. Any gameplay I've been able to play (of the little that hasnt been dropped) it's been choppy for both me and the opponent. It's not our connection, as multiple ps4 users I talk with regularly both in our league but also in other leagues have the exact same issue.

As far as the disconnects go, man.... I'm really starting to lose patience now. This is not hyperbole, I have completed ONE game of MLO and it's Sep 29. Me and another user in our test league just tried a legitimate 5 straight times to start a game and each time it immediately disconnected upon entering the arena right before tip off. All other drops have happened during timeouts. Some before any changes have been made, so it's not a settings or timer bug necessarily as it was last year. I have finished again, ONE game.

It's harder on our league because we play 12 min quarters, so it's definitely more crushing to make it to say the 3rd quarter in one of our games and have it drop than say a 6 min quarter game. I mean we make time to have our 12 min Q fun but damn our significant others aren't gonna give us 3 hours to get a game in lol.

I'm at the point where if I can play a f'n game without fear of a random non-connection related disconnect and see what jersey im picking before the game I'll just shut up. Work around every other damn thing like usual. I get we are as much a priority to 2k as a dog picking up his own dump but jeez can I play one game please?

I am thoroughly enjoying everyone wigging out at this game. Some have only purchased the last couple 2ks so they aren’t as upset. The fact is NBA 2K should be ashamed of selling a carbon copy game with micro transactions for $65+ especially with all of these bugs. How in Gods green earth do you make a carbon copy game on the same console generation that’s dramatically worse and buggy. I’m so glad i kept my money this year. I even still play NBA 2k18 my park and Pro Am because it’s fun and fluid and has no bugs. I play NBA 2K19 my league and use custom draft class and the game has no bugs or glitches. I won’t buy another 2K until *drastic changes are made and they consider reimbursing their paying fan base for these trash carbon copy s they *have released. You should do *the same and stop pre ordering this garbage when they show you no advancements or even gameplay. All they did was add some lighting and sweat detail and sold it for 65 bucks. A shame!!!
