struggling to get a green release since update

The patch has been out for less than 24 hours man -- give it time and practice.

God I hope they **** can that stupid shot meter.....one day guys are whining it’s to easy the next day it’s too hard...... there’s literally guys on this exact thread complaining about both one guy said it’s easy like 19 and OP was saying he’s struggling........ 2k literally can’t win no matter what they do

I play without the shot meter and my timing in rec games has completely changed. I don't get it. I wasn't a lights out shooter but consistent. Now I'm not only missing everything but getting a lot of 'early' and 'late' not just 'slightly'.

My understanding is that green has a slightly higher window on no shotmeter but that 'full whites' are punished more. Perhaps they made this change to narrow the green window but didn't improve whites going in on no shotmeter players, so in effect have hurt them?

Edit: switched to shot meter and made all my jumpers next game. timing is definitely different for my jumper 51.

they changed something that's for sure, I don't know if it's the green... two days ago I had like 20 PROam 3v3 games where I literally missed two shoots and the rest were green, today I went 5/45, I tested it on the park and I shooted like everyday, almost greening every shoot


I don't mind the shooting being hard but please stop changing the shooting every update

According to Mike he corrected the meter so that it aligns with feedback. That feedback is essentially how you learned your release so I could see why it would feel off now...even if %'s weren't touched.

Could just be in my head but it feels like the vibration cue makes a lot more sense now.

I've tried taking a cue from the vibration too and I just can't get it green at all. Wasn't getting greens all the time before the patch but I was getting my fair share. My shooting percentage was definitely higher. I don't play park. So can't speak to that but I assume it's all the same thing. I'm sure there's a reason but I don't understand why they can't just have the sensitivity of the shot meter decreased or increased based on difficulty you're playing on? And as far as I'm concerned, park should be more arcade built. You should have more greens when playing park....Granted I don't play park lol.

But I suppose all of this can be fixed by increasing shooting percentages in the sliders too. Not complaining, just wondering if anyone else noticed the different since the update.

The shot meter and 100 percent greens were a terrible idea from the jump. Now Mike has put himself in a situation that there is no easy way out of. Either take the shot meter out and be hated or leave it in and forever struggle to balance it. Smh. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
