Pass Target Profile

What is a good setup to use for pass target profile? Is there a setup that will help avoid passing lane steals?

Pass Target Profile

Passing lane steals are 75 %user decision , 15 not using icon passing and 10% not having needle threader.

Pass target profile is pretty much personal preference.

Id put in on custom.
Direction above 70 and distance as low as you can.

The higher things are the more the it will be taken in consideration.

Turn off lead passing if your passes are mostly inaccurate.

Good tips! I would go higher in the percentages as my feel is if I don't use icon pass, it will go to the wrong man 50% of the time^^ But yeah, in general you are correct!

Re: Pass Target Profile

Direction takes the direction you are aiming at in consideration.
The higher the more its taken in account.

Openness decide how much the ball should go to the open guy in the direction you are aiming.

Distance takes into consideration at what range the above should be taking into.

Example: if you are pointing left and there are 3 players on that side.

High direction will narrow it down to where exactly you are pointing, pretty much eliminating 1 or even 2 targets.

High openness will have the game decide to pass it to what the game deems to be the open guy of 3 players you are aiming at.

High distance will make all 3 an option regardless of how far they are from you.

Re: Pass Target Profile

Yeah, I've never noticed much of a difference between the different target profiles. Now, I would suggest turning Total Control Passing on if you haven't already. It allows you to throw different kinds of passes using icon passing:

Tap = Normal pass
Double Tap = Bounce Pass
Hold = Lob Pass

I'd suggest using bounce pass as much as you can. They seem to get stolen a lot less than normal chest passes. You'll still get some passes tipped/deflected, but it seems like there's a lot less of those BS steals where it looks like you have a big enough passing lane and a defender just snags it out of nowhere.

Sure... Maybe offline getting your passes stolen is mostly user error. But going online even with needle threader HOF you can still get picked off rather easily. We've had this discussion already so i'll just enjoy your blatant denial.

Im with you on this. I have 99 passing and HOF needle threader. back when the game first game out up until about December needle threader worked how it should. Some passes got tipped/picked but at HOF a lot got through. Smart passes too not just holding sprint and smashing buttons. Somewhere after this something was patched and now literally anyone can picked off passes not just locks and 2 ways. Playshots with 5 defensive badges. One handed steals with their backs turned to the passer. The only passes that you can really make are super close passes because this game is terrible with passing trajectory/angles.

The MAIN PROBLEM though is the scaling of models in this game. The court is way too small and the player models are way too big. Theres absolutely no spacing on the court. 3v3 games feels much better. 5v5 games not so much. If 5v5 had the spacing that 3v3 has then this game would be 10000x better.
