The problem with just bumping up intangibles is that doing so impacts trade value, free agency, and contract values. NBA2k still relies far too much on OVR as a basis for value in transaction and rotation situations. I don't have a perfect solution because of limitations of AI. But in a perfect world it would be nice for teams to recognize a lower OVR player like a Duncan Robinson might have more value than an athletic marvel (causing a higher OVR) who isn't a very good player. Relying on the OVR is also why role players are often too athletic. In order to keep the 3 and D guys and the rim protectors in the rotations, getting contracts, etc . they artificially boost up ratings they don't deserve.
you are definitely right. There is also no differentiation between a rebuilding and a contending Team regarding their rotations. a contending Team of course should want to Play their Best players as mich as possible while a rebuilding Team should favor a guy with 1 ovr point less but a younger Age and/or higher Potential.

Again, we have all preached this over and over, the ONLY way to run a successful MyLeague is by user-controlling all teams. If you really have passion for the NBA, it's worth all of that.

Here's why: I'm not a kid anymore. I'm 27, and to me, the whole experience is what makes it enjoyable. The games are obviously the main thing but it's kind of cool managing your own NBA season and seeing how it plays out first-hand.

What might be even worse than the CPU fixing rotations is how the players sign ridiculously cheap contracts even if you set the salary cap sky high. It's so much better being able to determine their pay on your own.

broke the code. pause game go to switch sides. go to coaches setting and change substitutions ace to rotation. go back to to the team your playing as. its sucks and i wish 2k would fix this.

Re: How do you handle CPU rotations in MyLEAGUE?

I didn't read through the whole thread but the way I make MyNBA more realistic (and have been doing for years) is by bumping injury frequency up all the way but keeping injury severity at 50. With this I get about 1-4 players injured at a time for every team at any given time throughout the year.
I also make sure that my starting roster has low durability ratings for veteran players so they aren't playing 82 games. Then finally I move players position around so their overall is less than. If you are a 34 year old SF rated an 80 I'll move you to the 4 spot so you're now a 77 rated backup 4. Things like that. I get good results without needing to have 30 team control.

I do jump in to control a CPU team on occasion to make a trade or a signing/contract buy out when it makes sense, but I don't stay in control.
