Made a 6’5 2-way slashing shot creator at SG. All around build love it so far.

Re: Post/Discuss Your Next Gen Builds

I’m about to mess around with the builder this morning. I’m hoping for more customization...i love rebounding and playing defense...I wanted a stretch 4 that could grabs boards and play defense...like an Anthony Davis. If that means my inside game is wack, I’m fine with that. But I do feel current gen had too many limitations.

Re: Post/Discuss Your Next Gen Builds

I am having a helluva time recreating my pg from 2k20. He was a slashing playmaker with 20/13/22/9 and I can't seem to approach anything near this build with next-gen. Any advice would be appreciated. See build info below.

(I had to put spaces in http and www to get this to post) - you can look up the video on youtube with the title: New All-Around Threat Build is a DEMIGOD! 65 Badge Upgrades! Most Overpowered Build on NBA 2K20! and go to 4:56 to see the build)

6'7" SF

took a hit on offence all around for a fast, athletic blocking and rebounding machine. My shooting is capped at 75's (I think) and dunking 85's.

After creating him I think I could have done the 2-guard I wanted to so I might make that one next. Apparently if you look at the badges you don't need THAT high a rating on some of the skills to unlock. I could probably shrink down to 6'4" or 6'5" as I like playing with someone undersized and still out-rebounding/blocking, it's just something I like doing.

Anyway question for you guys - Is there a way to farm VC like a couple of iterations ago - I see the app doesn't have all the options it used to, to get free VC... The NBA is much better, but the G-League grind wasn't my favourite

PNO is the only other way that I can think of.

Mind posting your actual build if you make a 6'4" or 6'5" guy - I'm really hesitant because I will pick up $25 of VC to get my guy started and I don't want to waste it.

I haven't made it yet, but will if/when I do it. I wanted to make a guy a bit like dwayne wade. The idea is to set a record for a guard in shot blocking, like 2 a game and also be a beast of a rebounder. Like Charles Barkley was only 6'5" for example.

What made me nervous was as you drop your height even an inch you lose a LOT of block potential and I also don't want someone with a 7 foot wingspan while being 'short' ...that's just whack. So now that I know those badges unlock with a lower rating than I assumed, MAYBE it's possible, but there is no way of knowing until doing it. I would make sure I get 65 blk and whatever else after looking at the badges and max my vert and hope my guy can be a unique NBA player.

My build now is great in terms of fun and balance on offence and defence as I'm always trying to sniff out a block and try to grab offensive rebounds whenever it makes sense to. Still as of now he's a little slow and lacks a bunch of skills but it's early. in a few nba games I'm averaging 8pts 4 boards and 1 blk/gm

My idea short 'beast' would be 15 or whatever ppg, 8rbs, 2blcks (or more)

The other thing is I really want to be able to putback dunk - I know my build can do it but not sure what happnes when you get shorter. I suspect that as you get shorter your standing dunk disappears and I believe THAT is a key stat for rebounding dunking. I previous 2k's I could putback layup, but not dunk and I think that's the only reason why

Re: Post/Discuss Your Next Gen Builds

I made a 6'11 Giannis build. Has good stats all around, I'll have to see if it'll work in Rec. The only thing I don't like about it is I don't have access to quick 1st step. Has good defense, but I'm not too sure how I'll have with 60s strength. I'm hoping the center on my team will deal with that. I'm gonna get to the NBA Finals and win as fast as I can so I can get the +4 attributes. Looking at 82 speed and 78 acceleration.

My next build will be a Post Scorer, but I'm not sure where to even start. I've tried making something several times, but wasn't satisfied.
