The disconnects in the rec !!! Since the last update we keep getting kicked out of games resulting in a loss and a blow to our scoring average and team mate grade....literally ruined the fun of playing rec.

Haven't started mynba (camera issue)

Had a lot of fun playing my brother with classic teams but they took out option to pick difficulty and quarter length.

Game is good but too much OP dribbling, blocks and 3s dropping...also the fastbreak is broken slower players catch up to fast players.

Still can't say its a super good 2k but its good still

Great review, although I disagree about the PnR defense. If you're not elite on the sticks, it's much improved and not cheeseable.

I loved this part.

"The other component of this that makes it frustrating is that there is just a lot of “dead’ menu items when it comes to the strategy side of things. This makes it especially frustrating in head-to-head games because you can’t just put “house rules” in place for yourself like you can against the AI. Against another human, you want to be able to scheme up a pick and roll defense that works. However, there are things like “leave him” that just don’t work, or there are other things in the menus that don’t do anything at all when you toy with them. This impacts freelances, defensive adjustments, and it’s hard to know what works and doesn’t work because there are simply adjustments in the menu that either do nothing, don’t do what they say, or reset after timeouts.

2K is a complex game, but it’s only made more complex by having things in the menus that have no purpose. Building back from scratch seems to have worked out relatively well for the defense, so now it might be for the best to rip most everything out of the strategy/gameplay menus and start fresh to make sure anything that is added does work as intended."

Defensive tight but it doesn't look realistic. Players move very hysterically.

So the author spent about $100 on VC, after paying $60 or $70 for the game? Wow. I'm playing McCareer since last week, one or two games a night, and this game is miserable. You have to waste time getting about the "City" to do all the RPG nonsense (if I want to play an RPG, I'll play an RPG, not a sports game). My player is a 72, barely playing, on the non-contending team that drafted me (I created my player specifically for my favorite team, and there's no trade demand option, at least for me). And maybe I'm an extreme minority, but I now cannot make a layup in this edition because of the new shot meter. I never use the stick, maybe that's why?*
And there is barely any change from last edition...for $70!?* If I could, I would return it. Alas, digital edition,* so that's out.*

Do you know you can turn off the option for using the meter for layups so it's not timing based? Timing on layups is pretty tricky because timing changes based on layup animation and you don't always know if it will be a quick release or late release. I'm trying it for the first time the year, and I typically play with meter off, and I'm still on the fence if I'll still with it or not. Haven't been able to play enough to form an opinion one way or another.

I would like if they gave us the option to choose what team we get drafted by in My Career. I know it's not realistic but they also give us plenty of other options to make the games as realistic on unrealistic as we'd like.
