Re: after this 2k22, who's going to buy 2k23?

The next gen versions don't get much play from me after a few weeks of release. I wanted to be all in for Next Gen but too many bugs have killed my MyNBA experience early for both 2K21 and 2K22. I always go back to PC and continue modding because its less of a hassle than submitting tickets.

If PC is new gen version for 2k23, then its a day one purchase. Anything other than that I have to think about it.

Everyone still checking the forums for updates instead of moving on from a “bad” game will probably be sucked in again just like we were after the disaster that was 2K21. Lol unfortunately I’m one of those people.

All jokes aside I’m actually loving the game this year. I played a few games on Christmas and haven’t been able to finish a game of Madden since even though I’m usually all football until after the Super Bowl. What are we comparing to? Old NBA 2K games? ‘Cause this one is better. Other sports games on the market? ‘Cause this one is the best. Best graphics, best gameplay, best career mode (MLB The Show was weird with the whole 2-way player thing), AND by far the best long-term franchise mode.

Can you name a Next-Gen sports game where you don’t have to micromanage CPU transactions? And I believe 2K makes it the easiest to counter the wonky AI moves. Intangible ratings, manual injuries, force non-starter, coaching profiles, team status, advanced rotations, trade approvals, simulation sliders, SCENARIOS, the list goes on.

I will buy nba 2k23 if they add a fresh new set of classic teams from the 80s, 90s and 2000s only. Also the customization of mynba has to be on steroids for old heads such as myself that love to go back in time and play classic nba seasons

Being able to edit every global slider specifically to my liking, every global tendency slider to my liking, every global future draft tendency to my liking, ANY DRAFT I could ever want to edit and bring INTO the league... as well as every individual players attributes, tendency to do any single thing on the court, load up any plays into any single team playbook to my liking, and change out any rotational minutes I want to per team and control every single one of them at once... also veto trades I disagree with, force trades I do agree with, have a full breakdown AND EDIT of any of 5 members of STAFF that make up any team, add expansion teams, fantasy drafts, all while including changing the makeup of every individual player AND being able to literally CHANGE THE RULES of the game from season to season... no sports game let alone franchise mode sports game comes close, at all.

Yeah, Online is a different story.. but that's not the only thing this game does. And when you play online: you're playing online players and we all know what they like to do - exploits, cheese, win at all cheap costs.

No thank you. But I can do all of what I mentioned above in my own online league against players who view the game of basketball the same way I do if I choose to play online. And that certainly works for me.

I'll be getting 2k23.

I’m starting to think that the game feels good in the beginning because not everybody is badged up. Once the badges start stacking the balance is broken and the devs react by changing stuff. It’s unfortunate 2k has become only about mycareer and the actual NBA portion of the game has fallen to the side and been dismissed.

Re: after this 2k22, who's going to buy 2k23?

Buying it doesn't necessarily mean you're a huge fan of whatever '22 is. I buy it because I'm a basketball fan first and it's a monopoly and there's no other options on the market. Kinda why people keep buying madden 22.

2K shouldn't get all the credit for sales when it's a monopoly. The company had more fire under its a** and integrity for the sport when Nba Live was a threat. How would those sales look WITH competition? It's like a dictator getting credit for election votes FIFA could be the best most amazing most innovative unbelievable videogame every seen, but would I consistently play it? Nope, 'cause I don't like soccer.
