Attribute and Tendency Explanation Thread

I wanted to start a thread where we can discuss what certain attributes and tendencies actually do.

i want to start off with "Consistency".

My question is, is consistency strictly a value that determines the ability to go on hot streaks? Or does it affect a player's overall consistency (meaning night in night out perform at an equal level)??

Next one is "drive the lane" and "spot up" tendency..

Aren't these referring to the same thing but opposite?
so having a high value on both would be contradictory??

Consistency is the ability to get hot in the game. Has nothing to do with the next game.

Also spot up and drive the lane are 2 different things.

Does shot low post effect turnaround jumpers and hook shots? Does it effect up and unders?

How does offensive low post effect a player's post game?

What attribute effects how often runners go in, close or layup maybe?

In 2k10, consistency did had something to do with the next games and overall performances, but was strictly in respect of simmed stats ... for in game/ on court performance it had only an effect on shooting streaks within a single game approach ... have yet to test 2k11 but have a feeling that it is the same ... just look at Rondo default consistency rating (90) and all other not so great shooters but consistent players.

can i ask...

sometimes on the side it has, for example...

post -60%
mid - 30%
3pt - 10%

favourite range - 3pt

so what does this mean? that he's more likely to shoot from 3pt, or post?

can u elaborate on that?

maybe im ignorant but, in my basketball knowledge, drive the lane = penetrate
and spot up = pull up.

Spot up means to go to a spot and stand there waiting for a catch and shoot opportunity.
