its funny i had my 13 yr old nephew visting me this weekend and we were playing with the roster (he likes old school NBA). And we was like why are you enjoy this so much and i told him this roster was like this ( video above) when i was his age. Showed that video and said if you played with that and then play with this you be the same way...

I can remember playing basketball on the original Atari. Not because it was nostalgic, but because that's what we had at that time. An old black-white tv, and those stick figures with the square basketball.

Never had problems with sliders back then...

Hey pb. That skin tone arm sleeve thing looks pretty good on LJ and Mitch Richmond on the alternate roster. Is it hard to put those sleeves on other characters like david robinson and duckworth, or does it only work with the darker players? How did you edit the sleeves like that? Hex or redditor? I only ask because id like to edit the alternate roster so that a couple guys could have lighter arms (I know the hands will still look dark tho).

Just finished a great game in my season mode. Hornets (Me) vs Magic. Final score 86 to 83 with the Hornets pulling off the victory. LJ and Zo were balling outta control. I fought my way back from a 13 point defecet in the second half. Mourning was player of the game with 12pts, 9 rebs and 5 blocks!!! It was funny because I thought they would have given it to LJ (23 pts, 6 rebs and 3 asts), but that was before i realized Zo had 5 blks. Kendell Gill had 18, Newman had 15 and Curry had 14. Shaq was unheard of besides the 2 early blocks he got on Zo, he finished the game with 4 pts and 4 rebs. Nick Anderson led the Magic in scoring with 25 and Scott Skiles added 23. Such a great game. Headed back to the season.

i couldnt give them to some players because i would be sacrificing accurate team colors. the hornets for example wore white and purple colored gear so i could use what would have been teal and made it that dark skin tone instead. but most teams like the lakers for example i didnt want to lose purple and gold for the gear. in other cases like hakeem, he wears wristbands and they disappear when you put the sleeve on.

i used reditor to do it. you edit the colors in the jersey tab. you can do it with hex also but its a little simpler with reditor. you can do it for lighter skin guys also but i dont have the hex codes for other skin tones, i only wanted to do it for those couple of guys. i just kept fiddling around with various colors until i found one that matched ok.
