i actually got it to work, when i put his id into the assistant coach column, the assistant coach position is vacant which can be filled with a generic coach in association, its weird its worked like that but w/e i cant live with McMillan not being the asst coach anyway, he kinda deserves to be a head coach for a team anyway

No, don't believe that. Certain edits (such as adding a player to the Players table or a staff member to the Staff table without removing anything that's already there) require rearranging the tables around the roster, and although the game is programmed to know where to find each thing, I have to do it manually.

As I said, I'm sure Vlad probably knows how to determine table offset and size, and that's why REDitor is compatible with all rosters.

If they really wanted to stop modding, they would encrypt the whole thing using a cheap encryption library and decrypt it on-the-fly when the game starts. There, roster modding is no more until someone finds the encryption algorithm and implementation they used.

Didn't happen though, so I doubt they're actively hindering modding. I'll be waiting to hear Vlad's opinion on why the Bank of Names is compressed/encrypted. Compression I would understand. Too many names, and ASCII/Unicode isn't really a good way to store things. Text is really compressible, so maybe they were trying to save space in the rosters in order for them to fit more stuff.

My bet is that once REDitor comes out we'll be able to add much more stuff than other years. If UBR is restarted for 2K13, I really believe it will manage to be even more amazing.

I'll add the names to the tool, so that you'll be able to select a player by name, and not just enter their ID.

Re: [Tool] NBA 2K13 Roster Editor

Arth7ur, check out http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic...66990#p1566990

gottibino, Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V works, but you may want to check out the video I have in the first post of this thread, as well as the Roster Editor tutorials by JaoSming over at the NLSC (http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=150&t=89054).
No plans on any added features really right now, as some personal issues are keeping me from my usual workaholic mood. I'll see if I can make the tool compatible with the 360 roster given to me, but I don't know if and when I'll be adding new features.

That's what I'm hoping for. UBR was awesome last year and this year's game is much better than 2k12. If it's released, I'll edit all classic teams and not buy another basketball game again. That'll keep me busy for years.
