How could any Tendencies and Hot Spots be messed up when the 2k Insider has been working Night and Day on them for months. LOL. Always stated that the Community's feedback is used, but same as 2k13 with Tendencies and Hot Spots. We(OS Community) must be messaging the WRONG people.


Edit: I Dont understand why they DONT replace the Insider, his LACK of ATTENTION to DETAIL looks bad on the company.

You mean we cant Edit them when we go in to Edit Screen for Individual Players? If that is case that will really Hurt the Classic Teams Until Reditor comes out, since STATS wont be Updating them.

That is the case. They also removed:

Use/Set Pick, Isolate, Use/Set Offball Screen, Spot up, and Give-n-Go from the freelance tendencies.

Nope. The only new tendency is <b>Pick & Roll vs Fade</b>

I'll be honest if you don't mind holding off on playing the game for a month, then just wait it out. Rosters with proper tendencies and hotspots will be out by then. If you are on PS3 go with bedwards set. Not too sure who to recommend on 360. I usually say vtcrb but he's not doing them for current gen.

I will be doing my usual ratings/tendency/coach profile etc fixes to the game. [360]
It always needs doing.
Every year I wish less work would be needed. but every year it feels like more is needed, as more is added with less attention put towards the results.
I feel like the numbers crunched don't get tested.
Just because real life statistics indicate a certain tendency number for a player, doesn't mean that number will translate well to the game. and I think this is a frequent occurrence with 2K. Along with simply lazy numbers.

I don't have the time to really get under the hood with the game like I used to. It will be a combover. for me to play seasons with. but I will upload my roster for others to use as a base.
I don't touch shoes or accessories. Only under the hood stuff.
I'm all about making sure the cpu plays a better more realistic game of basketball. As I only play single player.

STATS isn't updating hotspots? You'd think that's one of the obvious things STATS should be used for.

They wont be Updating for CLASSIC Teams, as they would have no real time data to Update. Not sure about the Current Teams, I would HOPE since they took the option out that STATS would updated Hot Spots.

Very, very interested on knowing what was taken away from customization and editing, be it from teams or players perspective.

While within the last few iterations there were some signs of this franchise pilar being overlooked rather than expanded, if true that many options, ratings, tendencies and hotspots were taken out, this would be a testament of 2Ks new direction:

IMHO, with this, 2K is just using the "new" dynamic roster feature as an excuse to cut off the tools at hand of some of their most hardcore fans, as they have admitted defeat and have openly declared war to the worthy custom roster editors. The past versions have also seen some gradual signs of this, but not to the extend of what 2k14 seems to reflect.

If so, this makes me sad, really sad, not only that they have not recognized the value that the worthy custom roster editors contribute to their product each year and see them merely as competitors, but that they havent also recognized that the only way to cater a wide array of videogamers (be them hardcore or casuals) is by handling them the tools to make them fit the game into their own unique views.

Again, if true, am going to be naive and say it is all due to the lack of space/size/room/atention that comes from the extremely narrowed "and destined to doom" current gen console ... but having said that, am going to expect and demand ever more fervently that the next gen consoles add all the useful prior content that was taken away and add 10 times more ... I want such new gen games to live up to the published prowess of the nex gen consoles and wont accept less from game developers, not even on year 1 ... if I cant adapt the game to fit my view of how it should play, as I have been able to do (even if up to an extend), it is as good as the bball games EA has put out within the last three years.

Here is to hope for, for, for ... for not being true ... for my current malcontent not blurring the way in which I would evaluate the game, once on my hands ... and for 2k realizing what was it that made me (and many) appreciate them and distinct them from the competition and embrace that once more ... a clue: yes editing and customization is some of it.

SMH that 2K manages to erase all the hype I had with such hard to justify missteps.
