Re: offensive rebounds

As far as I've seen, the problem with offensive rebounding is positioning. Sliders can't really change that.

Could be wrong. I make a habit of it.

Each team had 16 Off Reb. I think hustle is the key.
with hustle at 100, were you still seeing fastbreak opportunities? Also whats your theory on hands at 0?

I agree with this...

What I have noticed post-patch is that players now jump for rebounds differently. Before the patch they would leap TOWARD the rim... But now they only jump straight up in the air, often times never leaving their feet until VERY LATE after the shot hits the rim. It's as if the game was dummied-down a bit in the artificial intelligence of how players reaction time to their jump should be.

There is nothing, in my opinion, that sliders can do to fix this problem.

If you start messing with the sliders too much then you break the game in other areas. I've stated this in my own slider thread, but I really don't like what the patch has done to this game. I never play online, so I'm strongly thinking about clearing my cache and going to pre-patch because the game seemed a bit more fluid...

Yeah, I'm with ya, MK.

I'm keeping the patch only because I do appreciate the toning down of backcourt body-ups and the few franchise fixes that stuck (MLE's, Qualifying Offers).

Other than that, the game was better pre-patch.

I'll try this. Even if there are no fastbreak opportunities, it's not like there were in the first place anyway.

I wonder if you did that because it would lead to more missed shots and recoveries (offensive rebounds) by the same player around the rim? Way to get banned during an important conversation... HAHA jk.

Well I tried it with vert. at 50 and hustle at 100 today. Russell Westbrook jumped like 3 feet in the air in an attempt to deflect a lob pass to the paint. LOL. I had 8 off rebounds CPU had 5. I'm thinking about editing my players rebounding ratings (if you can even do that in association mode). Will definitely try more games and post results.
