Can/will somebody please explain the "GAME SPEED" setting in NBA 2K9?

Sorry, forgot to add that im on my phone and I don't see a search function on the mobile version of OS...thanks in advance for any replies..

it increasing or decreases every factor of gameplay. animations, time, ball movement, etc.

where as PLAYER SPEED, it only effects.. you guess it. player speed(it slows down their animations). & ONLY the players. the speed of the game clock, ball movement and everthing else are still determined by gamespeed.

so if i set my game speed to 53 and play 12 minute corners the game clock will move faster than normal?

yes but just a tad bit faster. the players start looking a little awkward the faster you increase the game speed.

if you're trying to get sim type stats with twelve minute quarters, lower the player speeds and quickness sliders, not the game play sliders.

Thanks guys for the responses. I kind of figured thats what it was, but I just wanted to make sure b/c I can only get in a game every two nights or so. I dont have much time to tweak stuff to find out on my own. Thanks again.
