Re: I Have Completely Fixed Every Problem With CPU Play/Assoc Stats/PITP/Shots Off Dr

after following this thread i must say this method works quite well...however i have made a few alterations and i feel i am getting better results.

instead of 80, i pushed the run play slider to 100 and the games seem to flow even better than it did at 80. the teams mimic their counterparts perfectly.

with this i also turned down stamina to 35 because players were not getting fatigued properly(i play 10 min quarters). now i am seeing realistic fatigue and sub rotations.

i also lowered play the passing lane slider a couple of clicks to 54.

i think the run play slider is key...good job goon well done.

this game has officially become addictive for me now.

Did Lebron seem to shoot of the dribble and take midrange shots? Also it seems that the offense still went through there bigmen even with that setting at 0, since Big Z had 20points?

I dared him to take a 3, he obliged, from at least 2 steps behind the line. Twice, scored both times.

I don't think he did much off the dribble besides attack attack and attack.

I don't have my Look for Post Players slider low, its at 50+, I think.

I played the Lakers and Kobe isolated 7 or 8 times in the first quarter, took 3 jumpers off the dribble (passed out of 1-- that kinda irks me when the CPU does that with players like Kobe).

The thing about the CPU, though, which I've always noticed and I'm not blaming the OP for, is that they'll only settle for contested jumpers if you bump them by playing good defense when they try to drive.

I think if I make some more heavy roster/slider edits, I'll get what I want.

Ugh, sometimes I feel like I'm playing a different game than everyone else.
I guess this part has got me confused, I thought you put the look for post player at 0, did you meant to put 50? Also now I'm confused about the run plays slider, I see people have it 80, 50, or 100? Which one give the best results and makes the CPU star players score more?

leave post player at 50 ..lowering it could affect the chance for big guys to grab the ball on post.

run plays set at 50 are basically provided for teams with a high Fast break tempo ( like 76ers Warriors Suns Nuggets Hawks etc..http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat...an=2052&conf=0 ) at 80 for teams with high FGA ( Knicks Indiana LA Bulls Mavs etc..) at 100 for low offensive pace like Spurs Pistons Celtics Bobcats Wizards etc..).

So basically the key is to adjust all of the teams tempo to either 25, 50, or 60 - not sure what your using just throwing some numbers out there for an example. Then adjust each teams run plays to 50, 80, or 100 depending on what type of team they are?

Say for example the Cavs what should there tempo and run plays be set at. For that matter maybe someone could just post a finalize version of what the gameplay sliders should be and what the tempo and run plays sliders should be for each team, since I think that the only thing that is concrete so far is to set every teams close,mid,3point, and attack the basket at 100. This would help out alot, thanks.

run plays set at 100 will not stop running teams from running. the cavs ran like crazy on me with run plays at 100, and the spurs slowed it down perfectly and ran their sets, but when the oportunity presented itself they ran. cleveland tried to create running oportunities, but when they couldn't get them they ran sets. teams will mimic their real life counterpart as close to perfect as you will see.

it was a great thing to see.

Re: I Have Completely Fixed Every Problem With CPU Play/Assoc Stats/PITP/Shots Off Dr

I took a crack at this and adjusted the coaching and game sliders to most of Goon's specs. I've played about 5 games and lost 1 to the Warriors. I kept the difficulty on HOF. What I've noticed about the game now is that the CPU is less predictable. I don't know when a player is gonna drive to the hoop or take a jumper. I have to have relentless defensive pressure or I'll get burned every trip the CPU takes down court. The first 4 teams I played I didn't see any alley opp passes by the CPU. But when I played the Warriors, they scorched me with those passes. I also like the way the PGs now drive to the hoop. Tony Parker was almost unstoppable driving to the hoop (like is real-life counterpart). Monta Ellis was another PG that I couldn't stop (and played like his real self). My center ended up fouling out of the game just making the attempt. I also like the way Carmelo set up at the top of the key and then drove right by my defender to score. So the game is lot more dynamic now.

Also because the CPU jacks up more mid-range and 3-pt shots, my rebounding stats have also increased.

Those are my initial impressions. I definitely think this has improved the game play. Thanks to Goon Squad for being adventurous and making these changes.
