Live 09 was not better than 2k9 last year. Live 10 will be an improvement over live 09 and 2k10 will be an improvement over 2k9. nba live will not catch up and the gap will probably remain the same.

Instead the developers chose to slow everything down because some morons online can't play the game with that speed and don't know how to stop people from dunking. I complaint about this 2 or 3 years ago. Here i am still complaining. Very disappointing!

you want a realistic game but it isnt fun to you if the players dont run like sonic the hedgehog? do you EVER watch a real nba game. You are 1 out of 50 that believes in this.

I think the gap will shorten but only because Live just has so much more room to improve whereas 2k already has a fairly good game.

It's a lot easier to improve a game that gets a 6/10 rating than a game that gets a 9/10 rating.

Looking at how close the gap was from last year I wouldn't be surprised if Live overtakes 2K in sales this year. As was said Live has been steadily improving while the jury is still out on where 2K is headed. I haven't played 2K7 so I can't comment, but I do prefer 2K8 (online) to 2K9 (online).

I think the biggest reason 2K will lose customers is because of server stability. 2K9 runs a lot better now than when it was first released, but stop and think about how bad things were when the game first came out. IF a game started it was sluggish as hell, and might just drop you for no reason. Then there were the times that you'd sign on and you'd just get the "connecting to 2K server" message and couldn't do **** at all. Even now 5 on 5 is a crapshoot. Now I realize that not everyone buys these games for online play, but I can't help but thinking that a LOT of customers were left with a sour taste in their mouths from the initial release.
