i play on superstar with play makers sliders and i think the game is almost perfect. All star was too easy for me but superstar can be a little challenging but i like that. I'm 1-1 in my fresh association. Both games were close.

My instincts told me, "of coarse". The average individual thats game enough to drop 60 bucks can beat the CPU on even settings with teams of similar talent. After seeing how many people struggled with the CPU I was swayed to vote no. I had trouble with the CPU too but two things made me vote yes. Although the CPU shoots the lights out on Pro they arent that good at anything else. The average person I face online could beat the CPU with lead passes alone.

Perhaps there should be more choices than a simple yes or no. I say this because most casual gamers could beat the AI, albeit by cheesing. Maybe add a "yes,by abusing lead passes and pick and rolls"

Maybe the percentage of players who can beat the AI without abusing the flaws of the game is much lower.

Before the sliders changes I won 7 out of 10. Just have to play to the strength of the team you are using and play good basketball. You know running actual plays and screens.

Re: Can the majority of the people who own 2k10 beat the AI?

I make the same exact slider tweaks for myself and the AI:

inside shot at 35
close shot at 40
mid range at 45
three point at 50
layup at 45
dunk at 40
dunk in traffic at 35
fouls maxed out

10 min quarters, hall of fame

I have a saved game right now which I will finish when I get home from work. But at the end of the first quarter I'm leading 25-20 against the Spurs (I have the Hornets). Both teams are at the high 40s in fg percentage. Zero turnovers (the Spurs have 3).

I play smart and take what the defense gives me. I take advantage of mismatches. Tony Parker is the only Spur that can keep up with CP3 so when he's out of the game, I attack. When Okafors on the bench, I know Hilton Armstrong is a liability so I change my attack to compensate for the temporary weakness.

I tend to win pretty easily on Superstar, both with default and with the HNIC or Bizcanos sliders. Was kinda surprised how easily I won despite not being that comfortable with the new control elements and normally getting handled by the CPU in 2K9. Feels less cheap this year I think but it doesn't give me the challenge that Live does by a long shot, mainly because there's always a way to bail yourself out... wait for a cutter, wait for the help to fell apart and let your big waltz into the paint, pick and roll, etc... hard to resist easy points against the AI when you need them. There are no such "easy points" in Live so far that I've noticed... gotta work for every good look you get.

That's a good point. As I play more, I'll move their sliders back up. Passing is what kills me right now. I think I'm passing to someone other than the person I wind up throwing to. Especially when I have a person running the break.
