Judging from the distance between the calf sleeve and the sock, it seems that those are really low low socks.

Yes, I know what you mean. In 1998 MJ wore very short socks, something similar to what Kobe wears nowadays.

yea u right, still the 13s pretty high i'm wearing it now, lol
doesn't change that fact that 2k should have different height in their sneakers

It is actually a combination of both, MJ wearing shorter socks than usual in '98 and all 3 of the shoes he wore that year being higher. Notice the difference using his calf sleeve as a reference point:

I've always preferred the "short distance between calf sleeve and sock" MJ.

I'm gonna watch games of the 1989-90 Bulls soon, I really need more games from this season.
