I always thought that 2K's demos played identical to the released version. However, they are not completely reliable in how the AI will play because they are always put on the pro difficulty level. Now, we have another factor in which makes this demo distant to the retail release. The Gamestyle will be different as well. So we have a lower difficulty level and a weaker Gamestyle than what most of us here will be playing. I don't think any of the "exploits" found in the demo will completely be an issue in the final copy. If you read the Insight again, the Default GS is supposed to allow some easy dunks and more fast play, but the Sim Gamestyle will have sliders that make it more difficult. We'll see, but I wouldn't take too much from the demo.

I'm really starting to dig this demo. Still not a huge fan of iso-motion and the player movement is still wonky but it's whatever, after all these years. I want to figure the controls out more.

One thing I have noticed is definite improvement to the arena/crowd sounds, especially when compared to the demo last year. I literally wanted to puke with what I heard last year but I admit that the retail game of 2K10 was better in that department. The 2K11 demo sounds oh so wonderful in it's atmosphere. MW going back to 2K after contributing to ramping up Live 10's atmosphere really shows in this demo.
I am also loving the cuts to the crowd when they get all revved over a great play. Nice touch.
Sig shots seem to be in place, too.

Ok, back to the demo. Lol.

You can normally add a third level chain with the sig gathers, but if you try yet another isomotion move as your third level chain, the chances for success go way down.

The fact of the matter is that, you have to pick and choose your spots to go one on one trying to break the defenders ankles. When the opportunity presents itself, by all means, go into AND 1 mode. However, you still will need to master ALL aspects of the game, from post moves, to play calling, to icon lead pass, to P&R fundamentals to compete in this game. And this game will not be for the faint of heart. It is so deep and I can't wait for retail to dig into the nuances of the deep gameplay.

With 2K games, I love how they do not tell you EVERYTHING out of the box...you must figure it out as you play and get better. Very rewarding for me, yet can be frustrating for others. To each their own I guess.
Yep exactly. Most NBA stars have moves where they dribble 3 times or less then shoot because the D is all over them.

Truth of the matter is guys are likely having the most issues because they are doing 1 of 3 things... Jamming on the sticks (forcing it), holding down the sprint trigger (trying to hard), or trying to iso dribble too much like steve francis (dribble dribble cross, dribble steback between the legs, cross cross shake cross dribble).

Those 3 things always gets you in trouble in the NBA if you think about it.

Yeah and in sim mode using iso-motion drains your stamina now and when its all gone youll most likely pick up your dribble or lose ball control

oh I forgot to say that the defense in this year's game may make me want to try online again...I was playing last night and I think Rondo or Ray Allen went up for a lay-up or something and Paul Gasol comes over and BLOCKS the lay-up dam near Pinned it on the back board...lol

DEFENSE will make a difference this year by far......
