But back on topic. I haven't tried the spin dunk yet. I'll get on it and see how it works.
Ray Allen an "average man's Reggie Miller"...what? Ray was a better scorer in his prime than Reggie in his prime. Better handle, better at getting to the basket, better at shooting off the dribble, better playmaker, FAR better athlete. Rip Hamilton was an "average man's Reggie Miller".

Reggie: http://www.basketball-reference.com/...millere01.html

Ray: http://www.basketball-reference.com/...allenra02.html

Anyways, as for the spin dunk being a "cheese move", I wouldn't worry about it. The demo is set at default pro level, many of the complaints people have about contested shots dropping, contact shots hitting too often, etc. will be alleviated by changing the gamestyle and/or upping the difficulty. Mike Wang himself said that contact on the default level is toned down.

That said, I haven't even found the spin dunk to be abusable really. Ray has done it once in a legit way around Derek Fisher, the other times he's tried it I sent it away easily with Bynum and Pau. I was also able to strip Pierce after the spin with Artest, with the ball deflecting off his leg for a Laker possession, looked good.

By the way, IRL Rondo has the ability to do that, but i doubt he would ever do it in a game. That disappointed me a bit when I saw Rondo do that....but its no biggie.
Rondo was dunking on me like crazy in the demo. Pretty fun stuff to watch though.

Re: spin dunk counter?

Its not a cheese move if you do it 10 times and it works 4
That does not make it a cheese move
I had times when I did it and I got a charge and the ball knock away and this is on pro so I wouldnt worry about it

Re: spin dunk counter?

Has anyone seen this one in the demo yet?

It is in there! I see this as being a hard move to defend.
And I am pretty sure that the around the back can be branched. I have pulled off the entire move going baseline from the right corner on Ray-Ray. Then I had him go around the back into a two handed slam from the left side of the court.

dont ask me how because this demo is proving to me that my stick skill are suspect at best!

Re: spin dunk counter?

one thing i do know...you guys suck on defense lol... letting Rondo come in and dunk on you, it's never happened to me...but i was one of the first to report about this issue because i have a friend from another forum who was complaining..i automatically thought that he sucked too, because he was so negative, but I think it's an issue the developers should work on though.

Re: spin dunk counter?

There is really no need for concern here....It's already been posted by several people in this thread that the the gameplay is on "pro" and the game style is set to "default"...Definition of the "default" game style is "hyper-realism. Shooting %’s will be slightly higher than real life, there will be fewer fouls, slightly more dunks, more and 1’s".

I can understand the concern, but #1 this is a demo. #2, some of you either don't know or have forgotten that the game styles are supposed to drastically change your experience from one style to another. With that said, pro difficulty plus default game style is going to equal "unreal" gameplay and results, period. So lets wait for the final product before we start getting all worked up over something that is likely nothing.

I did this dunk too, however I did it in traffic so I wasnt too happy about it. There were probably 3 people in the paint and two of them were Perk and Garnett. I understand these things are going to happen sometimes in these games, I just love that dunk and wish it would have happened in a similar situation to how it happened in real life on the break.
