How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Just started an Association with the New Jersey Nets. Won a hard fought season opener against the Detroit Pistons. Tayshaun Prince lit me up for 42 in that game, but I managed to win 109 - 99. The stats came out beautifully for a full 48 minute game. Devin Harris dropped 27 and had 9 helpers for me and was named Player of the Game. Favors had an impressive debut with 14 points and 22 boards!! Brook Lopez was quiet in the first, but had a better second half. Ben Wallace's post defense gave him problems. He finished with 19 and 9 though.

Around the league, A.I. signed with Hawks. And a Rip Hamilton trade is on the rumor mill in Detroit (he was practically invisible in my game). They are trying to send him to Minnesota. Orlando hasn't decided if they will pick up Carter's team option for next season. Mo Williams is rumored to be sent to the Wizards (why?)

Did this happen to anyone in association mode. I am using the Kings and wanted to see how the offseason is so turned off autosave and sim to the end of the season. During the offseason two players (Kendrick Perkins and JJ Barea) I aquired via trade are up for free agency and when I go to negotiate a contract they both want 1yr./480K. Eventhough this benefits my salary cap it is highly unrealistic.

I know Perkins personally, worked at a TV station in his home town when he was playing high school ball at Ozen, he would not sign for that. LOL

Yes he is! I played against them, and Evans got a career high 37pts on me!

Haha, ya...I found the best way to play is turning player roles and morale off. They don't wrk right in this game imo.

Ty Lawson is easily attainable. 75 ovr with A potential and the Nuggets always seem to be willing to give him up easily. You don't always need superstars.
