NBA 2K12 Demo Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)

I like the demo but all the talk of 2K11 being obsolete now is kinda overzealous IMO. It's def an upgrade but maybe it's just bc I like 2K11 that much, but I'll still be able to play it after this and enjoy it. Don't get me wrong, I like the demo, but it isn't as 'WOW' to me as it seems to be for some others.

....but these demo's being this watered down and short, whats the purpose?

Love the post game by the way, but still you just have to pick what you want to do because time is so short then it just makes you start all the way over, not restart

- AI (HEAT) really wants to exploit the mismatches
- Gotta get used to Y being a post up button and not a Sig Gather (Haha)
- Absolutely love Dirk's fade away. 2K hit the jackpot on him
- Players don't have eyes on the back of their head anymore when receiving baseball passes and deflecting balls for steals

I really think it has to do with the depth play-running brings.

I can't even tell my players to post or set a screen.

I'm sure it will be different with the full game. Control-wise I see the advantages of 2k12 easily... but 2k11 still has the depth that this demo never can in terms of strategy.

It's an unfair comparison but you and I seem to share the same sentiments.

anyway, I like retail is only a couple weeks away. I love this time of year.

The right stick on defense no longer serves as the "please, blow by me" feature. You can actually use it to contest shots now, as promised, and using it in the post will even cause some players to dish it out.
