NBa 2K12 keeps freezing

My NBA 2K12 keeps freezing. Sometimes the commentary will disappear then as soon as a player has a huge dunk the ball will get stuck behind the baseline and I cannot inbound it. Also after the 1st quarter sometimes the cheerleaders won't start dancing for up to ten minutes and I have to wait it out for the 2nd quarter to start.

Sometimes the game fades away to a black screen and doesn't come back

If I'm LUCKY I'll play through a whole game in My Player and when I go to quit after the player of the game presentation my game will just freeze and I'll have to play that game all over again.

This is easily the most frustrating thing I've ever experienced in my life. Does anybody know how I can fix this glitch? Or is it my disk?

I just submitted a suggestion in the bugs thread that has addressed my freeze issue while playing Association.

2k9-11 all froze on me due to same problem each year

The discs actually developed hair-line crack at the inner circle of the disc.

Worth checking.

So far 2k 12 ok but I haven't played nearly as much this year

Stupid question BUT where this bug thread or 2K's? I'm having the same problem.

(I had posted it in the Bugs Thread) There are a lot of so called work arounds so I will give you may opinion based on past years 2K issues using shared roster. If you are going to start an association using a shared roster file, you first want to save that roster as your own then load it for association. I have not had any freeze issues with this method. Don't know why it works but I believe it dates back to 2K7 when I first read it. Good Luck.

Another common solution is to delete the NBA Today file. It has a tendency to get corrupted after time.

What year would this ually happened in? Because I'm 2038 and haven't had problems since I started my association.

It would happen in the first year pretty early. But not since as I load the share roster as my own saved roster. In 2k8 I couldn't play any mode from a shared file without a freeze.. When I saved the share file as my own and loaded the roster file the freeze stopped. Last year, when the freeze returned I deleted NBA Today and kept it off. My technical incompetence leads me to believe the problem is in the file extension.... The patch prior to final patch of MLB The Show 11 had a similiar issue., the problem was saving anything from a shared roster file with the resolution being to save the shared file as your own....
