NBA 2K12 Discussion/Strategies/Toughest Game?

If you're like me, you only just recently started your quest to beat all of the games in NBA's Greatest Mode. So far, I have beat 9/15 of the games, and I've come upon my toughest game so far.

By the way, I'm doing them all in coach mode.

I deccided to treat this mode like a book and go from left to right. At this moment, I'm in Karl Malone's game against the twin-tower-led San Antonio Spurs. I'm only doing them on 5 minute quarters just to get these games over with. Last game, my team found themselves down 14-4 after one quarter. They went on to lose in the end, but they really made quite a good comeback in the end.

I set up my game again, but this time I decided to try and have my big guys deny David Robinson and Tim Duncan the ball in hopes that we'll force some turnovers and some more points. So far after one quarter, the Jazz are trailing 13-9 after Sean Elliot hit a three at the buzzer. Tim Duncan has no points so far, but David Robinson has 9 points. Hopefully we can keep up the good work and get the win here.

SO, all in all, the point of this thread is to share strategies and the toughest game in NBA's Greatest Mode that you've come across so far, and also just discuss the mode in general.

Hahaha, yeah I was having trouble too. But then I was looking on here and found a discussion between two users....

The guy posted the sliders he uses in that thread, just scroll down a bit. I do notice that when I enter an NBA Greatest Mode game, my settings will reset to default, but that doesn't matter anyways for me at least. What I do is once i enter coach mode, I only enter in the coach profile numbers he has, and then I sit back and watch the game go. Just keep that in mind I guess, lol.

Yeah, no problem.

I finally managed to beat Karl Malone's Greatest Game. Now, I'm having a tad bit of trouble beating Bill Russell's... I've figured out that the strategy I'm going to use from here on out is that after the first quarter, I'm going to put full pressure on the leading scorer. For this attempt at trying to beat it, it was Jerry West. We've put a huge amount of pressure on him, but he's still made an impact. We had an alright lead earlier, but now LA is about to beat us. I guess I'll just have to try again in the morning.

EDIT: On second thought, it may be players over double digits scoring rather than just top scorer....

Alright, so I've now beaten all 15 greatest games. Anyone have any trouble in coach mode, go to the link above and put in the guy's sliders.
