My Player shooting is impossible

Lower your 3pt rating to 71, get a foot behind the 3pt line, notice the space the defender gives you, knock it down. Ever since I upgraded my rating, I shoot really poorly because the defender is closer and you get a better modifier for being open even with the lower rating.

Like everyone said, you must not be as open as you think you are. Especially on pro, you shouldn't have any trouble hitting double digits. On pro, you can shoot a jumper from behind a screen all day long.

Getting your teammates to play well is the difficulty on MP, not so much your own player.

Yes I also argue you aren't taking very good shots.

I've been playing the MyPlayer for only two years now but I have dominated both years with my Scoring Point Guard. You have to be a little patient as you need to build up your skills, but I easily led the league in scoring every year (1 season in 2k11, 3 1/2 seasons in 2k12).

My favorite attributes are Shot in Traffic and Shoot off Dribble. I boost these up as quickly as possible because I like to take runners and floaters off the dribble and pull up off the screen. I also demand that you use the shot stick if you are not already. Shot Stick > Square Button.

It might be a nice tip to know that I score about 75% of my points on MidRange Jumpers. I get a lot of buckets in the paint and near the basket off drives and fast breaks, etc and I get one or two threes every game, but the majority of my work is done from MidRange.

Just thinking about it is making me crave that feeling you get when you see your shot swish through the net in MyPlayer. I love watching the shot from that angle because I use Press Cam for team games.
