NBA 2K13 Online Impressions

Team-Up this year is sure weird the way its setup. Its strange that they don't show everyone in a lobby before the game starts anymore. You used to be able to see who was talking in the lobby and in the game and you could mute people. But, now it doesn't show any of that.

Why, after 1 year did they removed the whole veto system on teams to play with?

This year, I also noticed you can't even switch positions like you could before, which is horrible.

Its a little weird the way they show the list of positions before the game starts. Starting not with PG, but with the C on down.

The games speed feels a tad too sluggish/slow to me. Offline I know I had to increase game speed to 55, hopefully they increase it just a little bit for online as well.

Probably about 2/3 of games I've played so far, I've gotten lag and/or have gotten booted from the game.

Team-up definetly needs some major TLC and refining. Its a bit of a mess right now.

The private matches online on hall of fame have been good. When i try playing on allstar hum vs hum its too easy to score in the paint.

Is anyone else having trouble getting into the play with friends lobby to set a game?

Tried playing a quick ranked today. Took many tries before I found an opponent, then after a quarter it dropped. Are 2K servers as bad as ever or is it my internet connection?

MyTeam is the best online mode. People are forced to play with (at least for now) average-mediocre players, so they can't simply abuse superstar players. I have yet to lose in that mode because people are complete garbage if they don't have a superstar to carry their teams

I would love if you could name your MyTeam and if there were leaderboards. My team is I think at 8th seed in the playoffs, but I don't really get what the prize is for getting to first place

first i'd id like to begin by saying that the offline gameplay in this game is the best i've seen so far for 2k with only minor tweaks to the sliders to fix rebounding, but online??? is 2k actually CATERING TO CHEESERS?? after playing a couple full games offline against the AI, I was so excited to get to show my skills online, and I have quit every single online game since...you might as well have popped in NBA JAM. and MYTEAM ROAD TO THE PLAYOFFS is just as bad which REALLY UPSETS ME. i've never been to big on mycareer, and the association has only received minor enhancements/upgrades...without many people i know playing nba 2k13, playing against the AI is gonna get boring QUICK...i'm beginning to believe that 2k let me down

oh and i also need to mention the LAG that i experience. my connection runs at 18mbps which is more than enough for online gaming, and i experience delay pretty badly...anybody else??
