The Adidas catalog for the NBA had the Heat jersey with "MIAMI". I'm sure 2k gets the catalog and uses that for their uniforms.

LOL think about it. Developers do it all the time when they put things on disc to be unlocked by them at a later time, they do something to it so it's un-accessible by the user or kind of peeves them about it if they try to access it before it's officially released. Now, I'm not saying that's totally it, since there aren't any errors on the other locked jerseys, in fact that makes it even more unlikely. But it is a practice developers have used before.
