How do we know when developers make changes to online gameplay?

The past 2 days I've noticed a few things I feel are inconsistent with how the game has been played the past cpl of weeks.

Steals seem to be happening more frequently (to me)
and it seems like the L2 button for contesting shots & jamming a man while he's trying to drive is toned down

maybe its just "me" but I'm playing the same style I was before and I'm not as effective while doing the same things. I've also noticed that my team (grizzlies) has a completely different sub pattern in the past 2 days in comparison to the past 14 days. I'm 99% sure this has nothign to do with the whats happening in the game because prior to tuesday (the 13th) the sub patterns were the same every single game for me, only thing that would be different is when the patterns would occur (earlier in teh game or later) but it was always the same guys coming in "around" the same times. Now I'm EXTREMELY different patterns that don't match what was happening before.


maybe I'm crazy and I'm doing something different but is it possible that the devs tinker with the online game play sliders & rotations?

As it is with many online games, it is possible devs tinker with the game without fully announcing the changes. As a community we hope the devs hold themselves accountable and announce any major changes in "patch notes," but it is possible for ninja fixes to be implemented. I personally haven't noticed these problems, but I haven't played much in the past few days apart from a few my player games, so maybe I haven't played enough to notice it.
