Why was the ability to change positions in Team-up removed?
I'm aware of the other Team-Up thread currently on the 1st page, but this is contextually different. Merge them if you must, though.
Anyways, in 2K11 & 2K12, there was an option to switch your position in a Team-Up match. If there was a CPU controlled player, you could sub out your starter, get the ball, and then switch to that position, that option is no longer available in NBA 2K13 and I am very curious as to why.
I saw no developer comments about it and I think it's a real bummer, especially considering the incredibly low stamina ratings for big men this year. Centers are drained and playing with the Gatorade logo next to their name for the majority of the game and I can't switch to them to sub them out, and we all know that no CPU subs happen if there is at least 1 human player on the squad.
I used to love switching from my assigned position if I was being guarded by the CPU, to go head up with another human player, provided some fun, that option, is no longer available. Also, with the wonky connection issues, often times the best player on a team gets left and is CPU controlled, but if their opposition is user controlled it could spell trouble, since the CPU does not always play the opposition as tightly as they should with regularity.
Would appreciate some insight on this, if anyone has any.
