Like I said, they both look terrible!!!

Again it's my opinion and I have a eye for details and accuracy, and he's not accurate nor D. Rose...

This is the PC version and this is D.Rose...

Spoiler
It's probably just the angle on Rose, I'm sure he looks great. Kobe looks better on next gen, then that current gen pic, no doubt.

To say their faces look terrible? I mean, c'mon now. That's stretching.

Sometimes I think PC gamers are just bias.

Minor quibble. They show Harden during a jump ball sequence, and he is sweating. The detail of the sweat is quite something, but he probably shouldn't be sweating before a game starts.

Yes, yes. Just showcasing the realism of the models.
You must not have been paying attention dude. 2k didn't have him sweating at tip off Harden was at free throw line doing ritual! Look again before sabotaging greatness.

Rose looks good in the beginning of the intro, but then shifts in to an expression that makes him look less like himself because his brows move too much. You can see the same effect with Ibaka briefly.

Behindshadow's Swaggy P doesn't really look that much like himself either, and it looks cartoony, because well, it's current gen rendering. Kobe looks much more lifelike on next-gen obviously, and just needs to have his textures cleaned up. Wish they would do that before release but it's probably too late.

Looks like a few bench guys might have gotten shortchanged. Toney Douglas doesn't really look that accurate in the shot with Harden shooting freethrows, and Derek Fisher doesn't look too much like himself either. Those are the rare exceptions though.

If you love to stare at animations and play huck and chuck basketball then this game is perfect but If you prefer a more realistic game with an ebb and flow this game fails miserably. I don't get all gooogly eyed over graphics like alot of thers here do because no matter how pretty it looks if the gameplay is not good...the game just aint that good and its not worth playing.
try playing defense!

I've played it online-- and I actually agree with you. It has serious issues with balance and cheese.

But I also play a lot offline, and I don't judge a game only by its online component. The game is good-to-great offline. It serves my fantasy basketball simming needs with a few tweaks. Now it'll be great with phenomenal graphics.

It's also going to be fantastic H2H at my house, playing on my sliders. Most of the issues can be fixed with sliders, and for the few that can't, none are completely game breaking. Every game has issues, especially sports games. I'm not sure what games you actually find playable if you expect nothing less than near perfection, but with tweaks, sliders, and custom rosters, 2K is solid.

If you don't like the game at all, and only play online, that's another thing. Your loss, but hey. I do absolutely agree that 2K needs to get its act together with online balance, or at least open up lobbies for sim users with properly tweaked settings.

But for those of us who actually enjoy the game, it's hardly a waste. Next-gen will only enhance our experience many times over.

This trailer is also off of an old NBA 2k14 build. Several adjustments still being made. For one every coach in trailer wears a vest. Miami heat home jersey is still wrong with white stripe on inseam instead of red. Etc Already confirmed as addressed by SIM Baller.

Re: NBA 2K14 Next Gen Trailer

Greatest 1:32 in video game history for me...surpassed my expectations, then lapped them. What glorious "eye candy!" It's not just the graphics, it's the emotion replicated in that trailer that blows my mind! I've been playing since 1st Lakers vs Celtics on PC (1990, i think?), 8-bit (if that!) Larry Bird with blonde hair! No season modes, no boxscores/stat tracking, no signature moves or body types, no shoes, no refs, no Sprint halftime shows...I'm in awe how far we've come! It's astonishing! Bravo technology, bravo humans...bravo 2K!
