Worries about next gen player editing?

I don't think it's jumping the gun. I look at it as going with the trend. Options have been clearly taken out and this option could be taken out as well.

I know I'm just one measly consumer that 2K can live with or without, but if player editing or creating CAPs are out, then I'm out as well. Every year I don't wait half a year for 2K to add guys like Faverani and Datome, I create them and put them where they belong immediately. I edit every single player to their real life likeness, every single game. If Andray Blatche decides to not wear a headband tomorrow, by the end of the game I'll have his headband off in my own rosters.

I also like creating myself, or the '99 Knicks, or whatever I feel like. That's all I play with. Despite all the creation, I'm not interested in MyPlayer, not interested in RPG aspects, not interested in choosing answers to reporters, not interested in being capped in certain areas. If I have to be stuck playing only as whatever players are in the game, then that's the end of it for me.

Speaking simply from a hypothetical standpoint, if editing was removed (again, that's a big if) I'd find such a move to be extremely disappointed. Even if editing is still in existence (which I have to believe it is), I'd still be very, very disappointed if we did not have the ability to edit other teams during MyGM. I've said it before, but watching Chris Paul getting five minutes behind Kyrie Irving while wearing jersey #17 and red shoes is a swift immersion killer.

I think larger features and game modes are often revealed later or through a press release. Ex. How they teased crew mode for current gen. Or the way they are teasing info for MyGM.

Something like player editing wouldn't get the same treatment so a yes or no shouldn't conflict with any PR plans.

Of course I don't think live would've mentioned it if they weren't asked directly. But the question is out there now so we'll see.
