From what I've heard, yes, they did keep the rosters up-to-date.

I've been thinking about getting this game again, just as a change-of-pace from 2K11 (which I love), but if I were to get Live 10 again, I'd probably just play with the stock rosters and refuse to download any of the patches. I had the most fun with this game pre-patch and pre-roster updates. Out of the box, the game was awesome.

Like DJ said, they do for sure. I threw it in right after the trade deadline and they had all of the teams updated.

Although I like online for Live 10, I much preferred 09's club so we could use the actual teams. How many times in 10 during Adidas Run did we run into teams using Chris Paul, Lebron James and Dwight Howard EVERY time.
