What do you mean?

I bought NBA Live 10 about 5 months ago. Downloaded RayRay's rosters off this site, which were great. Throughout the busy off-season, I've kept up with all of the roster changes. Recently, I tweaked my gameplay settings thanks to L4D's thread from way back when, which has made for much better game play on PRO difficulty.

I think your idea might be hard to accomplish though because you can only create so many new players, and the player design options on NBA Live 10 are severely lacking. I actually had to delete some of the ones Rey-Rey made (which were overall quite good) because the limit had been reached. Afterward, I made Jarred Sullinger, Fab Melo, Kidd-Gilchrist, Anthony Davis, etc, etc, and they all have the same general facial design, no matter how I configure it. But I'm not able to create more rookies, no Damien Lillard's or Austin Rivers because of the lack of creative space. Plus, NBA Live 10 doesn't even have enough programmed names in the game. So they're referred to as "#20" for example during games with no photograph either. You should be able to upload pics.

I assume NBA Live 13 was finished, but just not worth selling, so what EA should do is make a new roster update for NBA Live 10, and somehow import the new faces they made for the rosters on their canned '13 game. We can only hope... @_@

I think after I finish out this 2nd season as the Celtics and then play a final one with the Lakers (w/Nash & Howard), I'll give in and buy 2K13, which looks like it would be a difficult learning experience, but let's face it, EA can't get their act together. I was going to buy the digital version of Live 13, but now what is the alternative to 2K? There isn't one.

I'll bookmark this thread. Keep me in the loop on what you decide. If you're good at making players, I'm all for it. For what it's worth, I'll offer my settings and rosters. All you need is a SD card to copy the save files to your console. Bear in mind I only have the PS3 version of Live 10. The settings work well for 9 minute quarters, which give me more opportunity to come back (4 extra minutes than I used to play) and win games after going down by 10+.

Certain players need to be edited, e.g. the OKC Thunder. I tried playing as them today against the Spurs, went down by 30 and gave up. Harden, Ibaka, Thabo, even Westbrook and Durant ALL need work on their default skills. Obviously, back in 09-10, the Thunder were still developing, which is why the players don't reflect their skill levels today. Good luck, is all I can say. I'm far too lazy. Some of the skill ratings in LIVE 10 are ridiculous. Some players have 90s on stealing, and short players have high rebounding ability. @_@

I was going to look at the rosters as of today on NBA.com, and see if there's been any player movement that has eluded reports, but this should be a nice starting point for everyone.

Let me know what you guys think of the files, and let me know if they work properly. All you do is load a SD card (inserted inside of a USB card reader) into your PS3 where you charge your controller, copy the files to your hard drive, and presto, pop in LIVE and test them out. Make sure you load them correctly, meaning the game will probably load your original settings/rosters first.

All in all, I'll gladly chip in to improving the rosters and settings if I can help in any way.

As the gentleman above me pointed out, it's to hard too make an accurate roster with the limit on CAP spaces...trust me I've tried for this year and gave up. Unless someone can come up with a editor like they have for the 2k games and BAckbreaker it's almost impossible to keep this game alive for basketball fans that like accuracy. If you get something going feel free to recruit me to do the PS3 rosters since I've kept them going for the last year. Plus BiggD on the 360 could be a resource to reach out to as he has kept the rosters up to date there.

I downloaded your rosters and made a lot of changes to them, also I created the first 10 picks in the 2012 draft. Wish we could get a schedule update and better faces to this game. Honestly I believe a lot of people slept on this game, it has a better feel to it now than when I first bought in 2010.

Yeah, it's lame too. Because despite their atrocious dynasty mode record, I've had some nail-biters against them in the regular season. The only one with any real skill on the game is Durant, but even his skills aren't accurate.

Yeah, imagine my surprise. I just recently bought a PS3 for the first time. I'd been playing NBA Live 05-08 until that point. Everything is vastly improved on Live 10. But that was 3 years ago. What changes did you make? Could you share your edited version? It's good to hear that the file worked properly.

Hey, RayRay314, I never thanked you for making those rosters. :-)
You did a great job. Much better at making players than I am.

If you made one I would definitely grab it.

Sounds like a helluva lotta work though. Up to you.
