Are they over-hyping this year? Is it normal to have this much footage already?

I'm too old for this sheet! I'm someone who used to be an avid 2k guy and roster maker(vtcrb what's up man, been a while) and I'm overly hyped for live 19. Honestly I played more of Live 18 last year than I have any 2k game going back to 2k13. It's more fun, the one mode isn't locked down behind pay walls and I can just go and play basketball. Sure some of the animations sucked you in and roster editing isn't there yet. BUT I'm actually enjoying Live 18 more than any other basketball game I've played in a long time. I pre-ordered thru 18 so I got it for like 40 bucks and if it's just like 18, which I don't think it will be, it will be 40 dollars well spent.

Hey buddy how things going. I wanted to pre-order but just too many games( Madden 19, Axis Football 18, Maximum Football 18, 2k19) to drop money on a Game that may or may not give a Solid franchise experience.

I'm looking forward to Live 19 this year more so than 2k. I've bought 2k last 4 years. Last year I didn't plan on buying it until holidays but my GF bought it for me. I don't know what to expect with 2k this year. I have to be blown away to buy it this year.
Not sure I'm going to buy Live this year. I usually Gamefly games I don't plan on playing long. But this year theres like 4-5 games I'm interested in playing around Sept-Oct. So if there is a reduced price this year and it gets even lower around holidays then I might consider buying it

The last couple of years, Live has been on sale for $10 in about two months after release....I'm probably going to do the smart thing this year and wait on that...I enjoyed The One a lot last year but found Online H2H and offline to be pretty unenjoyable. Looking forward to seeing what they do this year...

I think it goes on sale for about $25 or $20 after two months, and all the people who preordered for $30 or $35 complain about it.

I don't think it goes on sale for $10 until like December, that's about 4 months in. I do understand why you would wait though.

Imo, I'd rather buy Live for $35. And not buy 2k at all. save a hundred or more considering it costs $100 of VC just to get an 80 rated player, I can play my way up to 80 on Live in a few days.

If I decide to buy 2k, I can simply wait until black Friday and get it for $25 or $30... I think that way I will save the same amount of money you will, just differently. Realistically though Live hasn't built up enough trust to be people's number 1 pre order. I respect people still who will wait

I'm looking forward to the demo because I'd really like to see how the players "feel" this year. Sure, you can tell the difference between someone like Kyrie and Kris Dunn, but to me what really hurt the replay value of Live last year is that almost every non-superstar player "felt" the same. So playing with the Bulls for instance, there wasn't much differentiation between players.

There was so much good in the game last year, but I need to see (and more importantly feel) much more signature movement in each individual player this year - not just guys like Harden, Durant, LBJ, etc.

I'll purchase regardless, but this will be the difference between a pre-order and it being my only NBA game, or buying 2K at release and waiting until December when Live is $10.

You could be right, I may have the timeline wrong.

If so, I may end up waiting until December....

What 2k does/doesnt do isnt a factor for me when it comes to the purchase of this game either way, I always get both....its really about what improvements Live has made..
