Sweat and Lighting 18 vs 19

I still stand by Live 18 looking better in this department.

Even if the sheen and general look isn't how 'real life' looks, it definitely translates to a better looking videogame.

Having the sheen and lighting bounce off the players, makes their skin tones look better and their models look more three dimensional.

It's also worth mentioning that the texture resolution actually looks lower in 19. Whether zooming in on my pics or in the replays in both games, skin, facial hair, moles etc all are sharper and clearer in 18. So this makes me think something is up.

I'm struggling to understand why the Live team downgraded but hope this can be improved in a future patch.

I agree that the lighting and thus skin textures look dull at default settings. If you haven't already, as a temporary workaround, apply the accessibility adjustments I recommend earlier in a thread titled how to accentuate graphics or something to that effect. I will resurrect that thread for convenience. Let us know if it helps.

Looked nice up close but playing it faces were a pixelated mess from a distance due to the amount of sweat in Live 18. 19 allows you to actually see the players faces and details now.

If they could add sweat without pixelating the image again I’m all for it. I’m on ps4 pro so it’s not a hardware or tv issue

You Xbox one x? Cause that’s the only console that can say it has little to no pixelation. Straight lying if saying otherwise

I have both an X and Pro and Live on both.

If you are talking about the temporal artefacting, that is due to the resolution not being native 4k and a bad upscaling/checkerboarding technique and has nothing to do with sweat effects.

Is it just me or why does the nba 5 on 5 gameplay graphics looks washed out compared to the one gameplay mode?.. maybe it's a bug and needs to be put to the dev's attention
