or is this something I am remembering wrong?

I was having a discussion with a friend, and I feel like in one of the earlier Lives, a player/ref arguing cutscene would play, and if you didn't button out if it. and let it complete, you would get a tech.

Did I make this up in my head? Lol

The first part sounds like something from Live 2003, which is known for its redicolous cutscenes. Not aware of the tech part, though.

Are you sure it was in an NBA game and not a MLB game?

Yeah no techs in live, but they did have cutscenes with players and coaches arguing with refs like in 03.

Off-topic, but I remember the vintage Lives (from Lakers-Celtics and on) had a cover art of the previous season's Finals. Back then it was very immersive for me. I played them on the PC until 2003, so no Bulls-xxxx games for me. Still loved these old covers, and when I saw Live 95's cover I was so hyped! I guess it wouldn't work that well these days, but back then it was awesome!

I vaguely remember this happening to me in a baseball game (maybe mvp 05?)…but I too could be making it up in my head lol

It may have been in one of 2ks MLB games….now I want to know lol

Edit: it’s MLB 2k6. If there’s a questionable call you get the option to argue to the ref and there’s a temper meter, you fill it by tapping x/a
If you fill it up you get ejected. I just played it to investigate lol
