Re: Official Washington Wizards board

Apparently the media is starting to catch onto Eddie Jordan...

Washington Times
Quote:
The Wizards came unglued in the third quarter right after coach Eddie Jordan pulled Kwame Brown (nine points, nine rebounds) with Washington trailing 60-58 and about seven minutes to play.
Golden State finished the quarter up by 11. When Brown checked back in with a little less than three minutes to play in the game, the Warriors were leading by 15.
"He didn't play well," Jordan said. "Nor did anyone else."
Brown also didn't join a team huddle at one point late in the game, sitting at the other side of the bench while the team plotted strategy. Like most of his teammates, Brown was gone when reporters were admitted to the locker room.
Washington Post
Quote:
The game took a turn for the worse in the third quarter. They were tied at 58 but shortly thereafter, Kwame Brown (9 points and 9 rebounds) sat and the game began to slip away. In the 16 minutes Brown sat, the Wizards were outscored, 39-26. By the time he re-entered, the game was out of reach. Asked about Brown after the game, Jordan became defensive. "Why do you ask?" Jordan said. "He didn't play well -- nor did anybody else. There is nothing wrong with him."
Note: The first question he was asked in the press conference was, "Is Kwame Brown hurt?" The fact that he was quickly irritated and shot down the question, saying "NEXT QUESTION" afterwards is a glaring sign that there are problems there.

Re: Official Washington Wizards board

Well wouldn't you know it, Kwame Brown got 40 mins tonight and put up 16 & 12 in a 2-point W over Charlotte. Brendan Haywood was even better with 22 & 8. Laron Profit hit the game-winner, and those are the people worth mentioning...

Okay, Arenas and Hughes got theirs, but with ugly shooting displays. They each hit BIG freethrows down the stretch though. Arenas D was atrocious, Jason Hart put 18 on him in the 4th quarter alone. I'll never understand how someone can be so quick with the ball and in the open court, but so slow defending one-on-one.

We have a slow schedule for the next week, just one game next tuesday, then we won't play again till sunday.

I almost forgot, jamison left with an injury in the third, and the wizards have yet to say what it is. This is bad news as tonight we still only had 10 guys available, 9 without him. He also has the longest active consecutive games streak, that looks like its in jeopardy...

Bad loss to the Knicks, Kwame didn't have too good a game, but neither did Arenas and Hughes. Haywood was definately the player of the game in this one, and the stretch of no scoring was the icing in the cake.

Re: Official Washington Wizards board

yawn...let me see, lost close to Boston, somehow EJ thought Jamison should play 36 mins and Kwame should be on the bench. Now Jamison's on IL...hmmm..

Handled LA, Beat ATL badly, but Kwame went down with the flu afterward and Juan's ankle wasn't where he thought it was. Three man bench of Etan, Ruffin, and Blake couldnt beat the bucks. Tonight we just barely beat the Jazz. We'll definitely need Kwame back if we are going to challenge the white-hot Nuggets...

Waived Samaki Walker and signed Damone Brown to a 10-day. Im hoping he plays as he looks like someone we might want to keep..

Word... I think we *could* do better than that, the Lakers and Hawks games weren't flukes, even though they were a struggling Lakers and, well, the hawks.
