Re: Official Seattle Supersonics Thread

I remember last year we started off like 8-0, look where we turned out. This is one thing about Pro b-ball, you never know who will go tot he playoffs until like 2 weeks before the playoffs.

how can a team be 29th in rebounding and have such a good record ? they are shooting over 40 % from 3 point range .talk about amazing . how long do you think they can keep this up ?

Ahh, I see what you're looking it. But that's not a telling stat. Yes, they're 29th in rebounds per game (38.90). But they're placed third in rebounding differential at +3.15 per game. Their opponents only get 35.75 RPG.

Re: Official Seattle Supersonics Thread

See what you did Kobe?

I'll never have faith in a strictly jump-shooting team to go far into the post-season...usually, if the shots aren't falling, they struggle badly. Unlike the Bucks from a few years back, though, this squad has a guy who can get to the rim with consistency (Lewis) and they play good team D. Lack of toughness and a go-to in the post may hurt them but, it hasn't so far....

This team will be interesting to watch.

Re: Official Seattle Supersonics Thread

Hey Sonics fans I have to admit I'm becoming a believer in this team. I'm a Mavs fan and watched the game earlier this week. The Sonics almost let it get it away but props out to them for holding Dallas off. This team reminds me of what Dallas use to be for a period of 3-4 years. The Mavs would come down and jack it up from all over because of their deep and talented shooters they had collected. But now Cuban and Nellie are taking a more traditional look and stressing defense more so they rebuilt the team more along those lines.

But hey I really how the Sonics play they will be a threat to anyone out west come playoff time.
