Re: My NU dynasty, year 2

Wow, St. John's made it to the sweet sixteen? They must have had a great recruiting class. I edited their team a few weeks ago, they stink.(and this coming from a graduate of St. John's '94)

Great work on the dynasty so far, good read. I am waiting to finish editing my rosters before I start my dynasty. Plus, I want to see which teams are missing key freshman so I can create them. St. John's was missing 2 of them, Ricky Torres and Anthony Mason Jr.(yep, son of Anthony Mason)

Good luck in the rest of the tournament.

Re: My NU dynasty, year 2

St Johns played like a cupcake team, almost...they gave me a little more play than the conference opponents, but i got over them pretty easy...but i did lose something that game that would end up affecting me big time later....Seymour took a hit that game, and ended up hurt for 12 days, effectively ending his season.

next game we took on Maryland. we did surprisingly well, with Shank (Seymour's replacement, also a top FR guard recruit) putting up about 26 points. excellent play from Parsons, as well as a monster rebounding game from one of my vet centers, and we handled them pretty easy. but i knew the championship game wasn't going to be easy, especially missing my star guard, who also ran away with FR of the year, NCAA player of the year, 1st team all american, and defensive player of the year (if i forgot to mention )

we had to play Gonzaga...the only other team in the top 25 to only lose 1 game throughout the season, like our team. they pretty much set the tone throughout the whole game, with a lead of 5-10 pretty much the whole game. we would fight back to a tie, maybe 2 pts up, but then they would have these crazy runs and we'd be back down again. when crunch time came, i could tell we had no wind for a run. my starters were running ragged from logging heavy minutes. Gonzaga prevailed, 71-63. off to the offseason for us...hopefully we can load up our team this offseason, get a good big man to fill up the center, and pair up with the 2 PF i picked up last offseason..and hopefully we avoid getting sanctioned again, i lost 2 scholarships after last season! they are certainly more strict than NCAA football.

another thing i noticed that was kinda disappointing about the Final Four was that none of the venues were located anywhere. the stadiums were bare, no idea of which city, etc. even the conference tournaments had that...i played at Western Michigan for the MAC conference tourney. hopefully that rotates every season...but nothing for the Final Four.

well you guys wish me luck in the offseason, and i'll be back to tell you how season 3 starts

Sorry to hear about your loss in the National Championship game. Good Luck in the off-season.

How did Gonzaga play? Did they pound it inside with their big men, or bomb from the outside with Morrison and Raivio?

Re: My NU dynasty, year 2

the biggest thing i remember was them pounding it inside, hitting opportune outside shots, and stifling defense...every one of my shots was outside of my offense, and without Seymour there to give me points, we were really sore...plus they were all over the boards, they just completely shut us down and frustrated us.
