Re: How's Your Dynasty Going?

Bye - bye semifinals, hello finals! After a great back and forth game against Davidson in the semifinal game in the Southern Conference tournament, the Catamounts advance to face #1 seed and #1 in conference, Furman University (A-). They beat me earlier in the year and I'm looking for revenge. I've never sent a team to the NCAA tournament in my years of playing college basketball, and I'd love for this to be the year. Have to beat Furman to get there though.

In other news: UNC wins the ACC tournament despite having an average year. Also, UNC-Asheville wins their conference tournament to advance to the big dance. #1 Villanova beat #4 Louisville in the Big East Tournament, but both will be in the NCAA tournament.

fballturkey, that's great to hear. I'm not sure I know what you mean by renew. All I know is that you have a certain amount of points to use during the season. Once they're gone, they're gone. Then you get some more during the offseason I believe.

So I've signed 4 players, all 3 star. One at each position except PF where I'm pretty flush right now. I have a couple other guys interested but I'll wait till offseason to see if I can make a play on some other guys.

I'm 14-3 (3-1) right now, doing pretty good. My losses have been close and most of my wins have been too. If I can keep it up in conference play (already beat Memphis once and UAB twice. My loss to UTEP stung though.

Heck yeah man, keep it up. Did a lot better than me recruiting, but did decent given a 2 star prestige and 2 star fan support. I signed 2, 2 stars I believe. Not positive on that. If I can win this next game, the SOCON championship, I'll make the big dance and that should help recruiting..just one problem; actually getting that to happen. I want more recruits to look my way, so I need to keep having winning seasons and making it far in tournaments. Overall coach record in 2 years is 41-20. Never played a top 25 team, 87% job security.

Two of my three stars transformed into four stars so I'm in business.

Well I was using Iowa State and my coaching record was like 24-32 for the 2 years I play'd and then 3rd year I had gotten 2 local recuits one 4* and the other 5* plus many more *3 recruits I got 2 sf 70 rated sf's transfers and ended up going I think 6 and something and I got fired. I turned down offers from +20 win teams to stay with mine the previous year I think I'm going to try again

Re: How's Your Dynasty Going?

Guys, I have HUGE news.
After ten years of playing sports video games, I've never won a championship in ANY sports game.
Tonight that changed. The Western Carolina Catamounts have won the SoCon tournament! I had never been so nervous about an NCAA 10 game entering this one against the SoCon regular season champs, Furman University. They had beaten us earlier in the year, and I felt skeptical entering tonight's game.

Back and forth, back and forth. Trading baskets. I'd go on a 9-0 run, then they'd go on a 9-0 run. Neither of us could pull away from the other, almost like magnets. It was an epic Southern Conference battle down to the end.

Luckily, I nailed my free throws and locked it down for my first ever championship in any video game ever. My hands were sweaty, my body shook slightly, my arm pits began to sweat () and I was celebrating wildly. I even called in my suite mate (at WCU) so he could see a little piece of Western Carolina history and he filmed the final ten seconds as our Catamounts stormed the court.

WE ARE #1 GO WESTERN
