Actually there was. Read this post.

It's a little off topic, but since you simmed 4 seasons, how does the sim engine perform? Are teams/players within realistic parameters in terms of rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, passing yards, passing touchdowns, etc...?
Nothing sticks out to be as being out of whack, but I honestly haven't looked that closely.

This sounds awesome! Hopefully people don't cry about ratings being too low. Seriously it sounds like they nailed it perfectly.

Re: Analyzing NCAA 2011 Player Progression

The decision to get rid of in-season player progression pretty much has ruined the game for me. It's one thing to lower the cpu-generated recruits' abilities, but without in-season progression there's no point to play the 1st 5 seasons in a dynasty.

One of the most fun part of playing a dynasty was watching certain players improve during the course of the year. Now we're stuck with our crappy slow guys the whole season, only to watch them gain what, +4 in the offseason? Seems pretty ruined to me.

Now we just need someone with Madden 11 to import those all generated draft classes and see if we have any problems with recruit depth and ratings.
I don't know why the Madden devs won't post a blog showing their improvements on draft imports.

Skill ratings and awareness are too low for non-elite players and the sim engine basically craps out later in dynasty mode.

There is a happy medium that exists between last year and this year and hopefully they find it before the next patch is released.

Re: Analyzing NCAA 2011 Player Progression

I'm sorry

Rating being to low
(Okay maybe so)

everyone wants a Bell Curve.
Everyone concern is about realistic.

Well its NOT! Realistic... how more realistic?
No Skill progression! is more unrealistic than the High Rating system.

Who cares about a Bell Curve Realistic system while the
player progression system is screwed.

Do not remove something that was in the game all the time.
Just to satisfy Bell Curve opinions
