Almost 400 of his 900 rush yards were against New Hampshire and FIU. His YPC outside of those games isn't above average either. I feel he is dead on at 89 overall.

First post ever here but I wanted to get this out.

If you think you should replace Austin Collinsworth with Deion Walker (Notre Dame), consider the following:

1) First and foremost, check the players' official pages. (Can't post links yet.)

2) Walker didn't see the field during his freshman year or his junior year. Not even one single down. His only "meaningful" playing time was in his sophomore year where he racked up a whole 10:19 of playing time in five games. There's talk about him sporting a new ethic and attitude this year but we'll have to see how that pans out.

3) Collinsworth, on the other hand, contributed in every single game as a freshman. To the folks saying that he won't contribute (much) as a backup, I'd like to point out a quote from Coach Kelly following the MSU game last year -

If you remember watching the telecast one of the announcers commented at least once on the issue with our safeties, and how they had to stay on the field far too long. I believe Zeke Motta in particular was noticeably gassed, or the announcer said something to that effect. Do you think the game ends up the same way if we have just one extra guy to pick up some of the slack? Depth matters.

Long story short, it comes down to whether you believe the possibility of Walker having a miraculous breakthrough season (getting a good amount of meaningful time would be a miracle for the guy at this point) outweighs the likeliness of Collinsworth making a decent/solid contribution this year... though with the specifics of this game and the current lineup of our team I could understand giving Walker the nod if it came down to it, only because you'd want an extra guy or so for the 5WR depth or something.

Speaking as someone who spent the last 3 years watching him, I agree with most of your edits on Russell. However, I mean no disrespect, but "he plays all the time" as your reasoning behind raising his injury bar is simply wrong. Last year was the first season he hasn't missed multiple games due to the various injuries he gets when he leaves the pocket (or stands in to take a hit so he can throw deep into double coverage instead of hitting the two open underneath guys, but you'll learn to love the ones he completes and hate he ones he doesn't). Again, I think you can go with everything else you have here, because RW is a complete stud, but his injury rating should no way be above an 80, and probably a little under. Enjoy him on Saturdays this season though, bro. He will be missed here in Raleigh, regardless how Glennon does, just because he was such a great ambassador for the university.

Notre Dame has 5 safeties not counting collinsworht with about 6 corners. And Jamoris Slaughter is the main backup for Motta and could be starting on a lot of other good programs so they are fine there. They also have McCarthy and a freshman behind Harrison Smith so yeaaaa, collinsworth is expendable

The only time he played was on kickoff returns for about 8 games and he was replaced by Daniel Smith at that spot in the bowl game..
