A FEW UPDATES

Toledo plays more of a 4-2-5 defense than a 4-3. The listed LOLB position is a "star" (LB/S combo) position.

QB Macon started at WR in the spring game, then played OB in the 2nd half....would expect him to start at WR during the season (and motion into QB at times). I would put Reedy, Macon (bump Green to #2 Z or M), and McDowell as the starting WRs

Would expect Jordan Haden (transfer + injured much of the spring) to move up the CB depth chart and compete to start for one of the starting positions.

Expect #40 Trent Voss 6'3" 210 Fr (R) to be at least #3 ROLB

TE Alex Zmolik 6'4" 215 (From what I've seen, I really like this guy, but definitely a sleeper...more like a WR/TE combo....really good hands for a TE, and can stretch the field vertically...not sure if he will be used in situations to stretch the defense or be redshirted)

Brad Dunavant will compete with Penza for the starting P job, and will compete with Detmer for Kickoffs


RATINGS UPDATES

* Not sure what the rating level looks like this year, so some of these will say "this is what the player did last year" and he should be adjusted according to the other players in the position....ie I may think somebody should be rated higher, but if the overall position rating is low then he may not need to be adjusted

*the ratings I have added are just my suggestion, I am in no way an expert....the final ratings should some down to you guys

QB #2 Owens (6th in nation in pass efficiency last year, set MAC completion % record (72.2%), also has a strong arm and can throw the deep ball, but not as accurate deep as short) (upper 80s?)

WR #11 Reedy (40 rec 758 yrds 9TDs...played alongside Eric Page last year) (mid 80s?)

RG #75 Mancz (Freshman All-American last year) (bump up a couple?)

SS #29 Robinson (has always been a good run stopper, but really improved in pass defense at the end of last season...55 Tackles 6.5 TFL 2 FF 3 INT 9 PassDef) (bump up a couple of points?)

RE #84 Smith (13 games/6 starts, 27 TACK, 5.5 TFL, 2 SACK) (only rated 74...bump up a couple?)

DE #30 Pike should be a DT and OVR should be switched with RE #23 Fatinikun, who should be the to LE

LT# 60 Lindeman should be a RT

RT #56 Hendershot should be LT

WR #8 Green should be lowered to low 70s

Wr #19 McDowell should be mid 70s (quick, shifty guy that will turn small yard catches into big plays)

QB #17 Macon needs added as WR....I would guess upper 70s (will also turn short yardage plays into big gains...a little more sure handed and more physical than McDowell, but not quite as agile...has the top end speed to take it to the house)

LOLB #6 Best moved to CB

QB #4 Dantin probably upper 70s maybe on the verge of 80 (more elusive than Owens, but not nearly the downfield arm strength....very good short yardage accuracy...21st in pass efficiency last year)

WR #13 Scott moved to TE

LOLB #55 Bush should be MLB

Not sure who FS #42 is...maybe Haden or Emilien

MLB #44 Fletcher moved to LOLB

Don't see starting FS #43 Singer should be low 80s
