please help! re: roster file usb to ps3

I have a mac computer and no ps3 online. I downloaded the latest roster file (I forget who made it so I can't give credit) and while the reviews of it are great, I can't seem to figure out how to put the file on my ps3. I have followed instructions I found online but they all seem to be for pc and don't work for me.
Can somebody please help me?

On your USB create a file in it and name is PS3 IF your file says SAVEDATA then drag it into your file you made on your USB, if your file doesn't say that, then the file you already created named PS3 create a new file within that file and name it SAVEDATA drag it into that and you should be good to go! Plug in your USB and copy the rosters and load up the game!!
