Generic Editor Users: Question About Inserting a File
The normal process for using the Generic Editor is to download a Roster from the 360 as a "Game Save" on to a flash drive, then use Modio to extract the file from the flash drive to the PC. After making edits, again use Modio to replace the file on the flash drive with the edited file, then use the flash drive to install the edited file back into the 360.
My question is: Is there a way to start with a file from another source (not a file copied from the 360), then insert or somehow move that file onto the flash drive is such a way that the 360 will recognize the file as a valid 360 file?
So far, all of my experiments to perform this operation have failed. I have not determined any way to take an edited file which did not originate as a game save and save it back onto the flash drive in a format which the game will recognize as a valid file.
