NCAA Football 14: 2017-18 Roster Update

Hey guys, Chris here.

Just a quick shoutout to who everyone who has worked on the roster and a thanks to those who did updates for Rutgers. Overall did a solid job.

I cover the team for 247Sports (heck us out and follow me on Twitter @ChrisWasky) and downloaded the most recent Xbox360 version on page one (Dericksun....8/4/17).

I forget every year, is the player cap 69 or 70? I believe I counted the RU roster in the game having 69.

Despite the work, I'd like to maybe make a suggestion to add player to get to 70 and to replace a few others.

1) Replace punter Mike Cintron with graduate transfer punter Ryan Anderson, 6-1, 203 Dewitt, Michigan. #96

2) Replace ROLB TJ Taylor with LB Olakunle Fatukasi, true freshman 6-1, 230 Far Rockaway, NY #3

3) Replace LG Howson with RT Manny Taylor #72 Rs-sophomore 6-5, 300 Philadelphia, Pa

4) Add in FB Max Anthony #44 Rs-soph 6-0, 240 Albany, NY

If anything changes I'll let you know.

There are also some numbers that are incorrect but not a huge deal. Some jersey and height/weight stuff.

I know RU had a terrible year, but I feel as if some of the overalls are a tad low on some players.

Maybe LT Cole could be a 90..best returning pass blocking OL in the Big Ten

WR Grant could get a boost..especially speed/quickness/juke stuff like that

CB Bless Austin is a stud

DT Joseph...79 is way too low for him

MLB Deonte Roberts could get a bit of a bump

Same goes for DE Turay who looks like he's finally healthy again and in-line for a monster senior season 79 too low.

WR Jawuan Harris should be in the 80's as well...same goes for RBs Rob Martin and Gus Edwards

WR Damon Mitchell should be in the 80s as well. Senior transfer but already a leader and will have significant impact on the field

TE Washington looks really good (better than a 77)



I'm not a ratings expert, though

I am on the XBOX 360 and I have a question in regards to Washington State's school prestige start rating at 1? I am looking to begin a dynasty with a one star school and this rating intrigued me as I would begin as an offensive coordinator and coaching in the Pac-12 is a conference that would definitely keep my interest in moving forward through multiple years. As soon as I get this splitter here in 2 days I am going to make a video showing people how to recruit top 25 ish classes with a 1* program. I don't think that WSU is a 1* school on our rosters for the PS3 but I could be wrong. I just mentioned updating the schools the other day to Vikes as well. So what is your question?

Man - I totally apologize - I sent this while at work and never got to the point - My question is how is the one star rating justified? I know that Washington State has dramatically improved under Leach and they are ranked in the top 50 in most polls. I know that climbing the pentacle of prestige ratings takes time but I feel they may need to be higher than a one star - though I am not complaining due to the fact that I want that to be my starting point and they would be an excellent team to begin with - just wanted to know the reasoning behind it. Thanks again - this team is TRULY amazing for all the hard work and dedication!

You're right and we are about to vote on the schools here again soon. I don't know why they are rated a 1* to me they are a high 3 to low 4* school. Keep in touch with me and I will let you know when we update them. Honestly I would say hold off on starting your dynasty until around the start of the season.
