Playmakers 360 Heisman Sliders (Level 4)

Playmakers Heisman Level Sliders (Updated 07/30/06)

The CPU's Defense on each Level will operate strictly off of Awareness and Tackling only because they will still defend passes and stop the run very well without either the KNDWN, INT or BRK BLK Slider being used. This is very similiar to my approach done on Madden 06 Sliders if some of you can recall.

The highest QBA/WR Catch setting I would recommend on any level for the for CPU is 40/60. I think at 30 QBA you'll see a great mixture of throws by them some on target and some nice over or under throws. This setting also helps your DB's play better pass defense without increasing Human AWR from DEFAULT 50.

Heisman level is so tricky at times that you might not realize the difference in the CPU AWR of 25 from 75 simply because if they get the momentum meter in their favor they can make some crazy defensive plays especially from their DL. My entire reason for setting their DL and OL and zero was to take away some of the insane abilities they get sometimes. I think by going low it helps to calm down gameplay alot more. You will also notice that I set the Human BRK BLK slider at zero aswell. You will still beable to get a nice push simply because your DL vs their OL at zero basically brings both Line ratings more into play by just simply setting them at zero. If you watch a replay after a run or pass play you will very rarely see your guy's get PANCAKED every down. They might not get a strong push at times up front but they won't get mauled to the ground on every play.

You can modify any slider you wish but I think you'll find alot of stuff that was so annoying on Heisman level really goes away the lower you can keep a slider set at overall. For example the CPU's Tackle Slider when set low allows you to see Human RB animations that are outstanding to witness. These animations are triggered automatically and you don't see them as much when the tackle slider is set so high. But if running because easy for you by all means feel free to boost up the CPU's TKL slider on any level. That slider is tied into pursuit and the higher you set it the quicker they will fly to the ball carrier and track you down.

RUN/PASS RATIO & OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE STRATEGY (OPTIONAL SETTINGS FROM DEFAULT IN GAME)

When you go into Coaching Options right before you Start your Dynasty for the Offense you'll have to make the changes in both the "PLAYBOOK" & "OFFENSIVE TYPE" slot to match each other if a team has had their PLAYBOOK changed to the ones listed above. Otherwise if you only make the change listed under "OFFENSIVE TYPE" and don't switch "PLAYBOOK" to match it they won't use that style of play during games.

So they have to matchup in both SLOTS.

For any team that was switched to "FLEXBONE" you have to assign them AIR FORCE'S "PLAYBOOK" then under "OFFENSIVE TYPE" set it to "FLEXBONE". This is because under "PLAYBOOK" the Flexbone offense is'nt listed like the other Plays. So you have to pick Air Force and then it will match up.

I'm sorry for not cacthing this earlier and relaying the information.

Here's a link to the Playbooks in excel format which will have them alphabatized to make it easier to input:

Re: Playmakers 360 Heisman Sliders (Level 4)

These will be modified as I continue to play more games. I think these initial settings too high for Human and CPU. I'm shutting them down andthey are starting to warp into defensive area's from out of nowhere. I'm going to tone things a little more to make it more fluid.

Re: Playmakers 360 Heisman Sliders (Level 4)

PM, like I mentioned in your AA thread, it's crucial to set INT and KDWNS at 0-1 max.

It's another one of those sliders on Heisman that makes one want to scratch their heads looking at the settings, but quite frankly, they work close to perfection. (no unrealistic "trampoline" jumping, warping, etc.)

IMO, the most significant slider with the aformentioned settings is DEF AWR. It's paramount to make sure the CPU players are in position, and aware of what's going on around them, without any "wandering aimlessly".

The combination of of AWR and KDWNS is the foundation here.

Bottomline is.........if you make a bad throw, you'll get picked, and if the defender is in position to make a play on the ball, they will.

You know what I did that zero slider theory on Madden and it worked out great.

I'll take your word on it and try to implement it for NCAA and see how it works out. I know for sure on Heisman the damn DB's and LB's jump like Jordan and bat down every single deep ball I throw.

Thanks PM. I've been waiting for you to start on Heisman sliders. I used a slight variation of your Heisman sliders for PS2 last year. I'll try these when I get home tonight.

So lowering CPU knocdwns/interception to 0-1 and lowering CPu defensive awareness will prevent that super human db and lb jumping and morphing to hypersped!! i hope so because on Heisman that is the only part of the game that seems unrealistic...

Not done yet just a base I'm starting with until I can figure out how to get the CPU's DB's and LB's from warping all over the field and making plays they have no business making.

I'm gonna need more time on this level that's for sure.
