Bamafan3723's All-American Sliders (PS2)

I will be playing on 7 minute quarters for my dynasty, but for this game I used 5 minutes:

Just finished my #1 Greatest Game with these adjustments from my first set. Lost to Tennessee in double OT 26-23.

Tennessee at Alabama
5 minute quarters

Offense: uXoZxMf4
HUM*********CPU
QBA 35**********99
PB 55**********75
WR 35**********55
RBA 50**********70
RB 55**********99

Defense: 8O2xKpM2
AWR 0*********65
KD 10*********45
INT 0*********50
BB 45*********50
TAK 45*********50

Special Teams: BWex9uw3
HUM (Punt length: 60 Kick Length: 70)
CPU (Punt Length: 80 Kick Length: 85)
Code:
Tennessee Alabama Score: 26 23 Total Off: 181 340 Rush Yds: 42 120 Pass Yds: 139 220 Sacked: 4 0 Turnovers: 1 6 TOP: 11:01 8:59
Tennessee J. Crompton: 13-20, 139 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT A. Foster: 19 car, 68 yds, long 14 L. Taylor: 5 rec, 73 yds, TD Alabama J.P. Wilson: 14-28, 220 yds, 1 TD, 4 INT T. Grant: 21 car, 123 yds, 1 TD, long 70 N. Stover: 4 rec, 123 yds, 1 TD
This was a great game. I started out running the ball right at them and was successful but later in the game they began to shut me down. I might need to lower some HUM defense settings to help the CPU run game a little more and maybe up the CPU knockdowns by 5 or drop HUM Pass block by 5 because I gave up zero sacks. The previous game I played, my O-Line was getting manhandled. This game Tennessee got pressure a few times, but not near as much. Of course, those were two totally different teams for the last game. All my INT's felt legit, bad throws or great defensive plays. Tennessee had a couple crucial dropped passes but they got away with them in the end. I blocked two FG's and the return game once again felt good. Tennessee brought one to midfield one time but that was it. I feel good about this set right now, but there will still be adjustments made.

Thanks for posting the sliders. I will give them a try this afternoon and post stats.

Re: Bamafan3723's All-American Sliders (PS2)

Once I start my dynasty I will be using Bill Abner's Pre Game Coach Settings from NCAA 2004. Here they are:

Pre-Game:

-Before playing a game add a new coach in the coach options page. This new coach should be assigned to the team you are about to play. Takes about 30 secs to do this. Then go into coach strategy and alter the team's offensive playcalling to at least 70% running (I go as high as 80 sometimes unless the team is pass crazy ala Washington. Also, and this seems to be important, move the Conservative playcalling slider as far left as possible. Now, this does not make the team never throw deep it just makes most teams look underneath first before throwing it 30 yards downfield. As a result, CPU completion % is better and the game has a much better flow to it. You can also play with the defensive settings too; I usually make the CPU teams play run D more often than not. Also make sure to use the correct team playbook for your new coach. After you play the game make sure to delete this coach so you can make a new one for the next game. All of this takes less than a minute to do.

-Make sure the team you are playing (your Dynasty team) has its coach defensive slider at 80% pass. No idea if this helps the CPU run game, but it doesn't hurt to do this just in case.

Re: Bamafan3723's All-American Sliders (PS2)

I started my UAB dynasty tonight (I do an in state dynasty to work on sliders before I start my Bama dynasty when the season starts). Anyway, first game I played with Bamafan's sliders against Tulsa. I got beat 45 to 17 (which Tulsa should beat UAB). A few things that stood out to me CPU passed very easily, both teams did not run well, and Hum pass blocking was bad. I was sacked 4 times and was hurried over 10 times. CPU also ran a KO back for a TD and ran a punt back for a TD. One other thing, most of the CPU kickoffs' were touchbacks. My next few games are against BCS teams so I will continue using these sliders (with adjustments) and report later. Thanks for a set of sliders to work with.

How does UAB's OL match up with Tulsa's DL ratings wise?

From Lt to RT UAB's OL is 76,74,84,76, and 78. From LE to RE Tulsa's DL is 87, 82, 74, and 84.

I am about to play against Auburn with UAB and will post after the game. What are you using for penalty sliders?

Lower roughing the passer to "zero", even though they still call it. Holding down to 20. Clipping and roughing the kicker at default and everything else maxed out if I remember correctly. I'll check later to make sure.

Re: Bamafan3723's All-American Sliders (PS2)

Played at Auburn with UAB. Lost 38 to 13. Here are some of the stats:

first downs: 6 (UAB) 15 (AU)
passing: 8-20-1 td 98 yards (UAB) 12-18-4 tds 290 yards (AU)
rushing: 16-75 yards (UAB) 34-95 yards (AU)
drops: 3 (UAB) 1 (AU)
ints: 3 (UAB) 0 (AU)
fumbles: 2 (UAB) 1 (AU)
sacked: 2 (UAB) 5 (AU)

The CPU threw a lot of deep passes for completions, especially on 3rd and long. 2 of their passing touchdowns were bombs on 3rd and long. The 5 sacks against AU was a little high, most coming from play action passes from the CPU. This game played out pretty much as it should with AU winning easily. My next 2 games are at Bama and at Missouri, then I will get into my C-USA schedule where I will be playing teams closer to my level.
