Re: All-American Post Patch Slider Discussion

I'm just about to go downstairs to fire up the old PS3 as we speak. I'll participate in this for sure....we'll see what happens.

Hmmmm......Sliders

Re: All-American Post Patch Slider Discussion

Just ran a ton of practice plays on with VT(me) and GA tweaking sliders as i went. I played defense, and had offense call random pass plays and run plays, and vice versa. Here are my early sliders. Going to play a game now. Would you guys recommend setting even teams when tweaking sliders or no? I'm on the fence on this one as I see both points of view.

All-American 8min, using chew clock mode unless inside 2minutes of game or 2nd and i need to move quick.

Offense- HUM/CPU

QB Acc- 40/35
Pass Blocking- 40/0
WR Catching- 40/40
RB Ability- 50/60
Run Blocking- 50/60

Defense- HUM/CPU

Pass Coverage- 95/60
Pass Rush- 100/100
Interceptions- 25/0
Rush Defense- 50/50
Tackling- 50/50

Special Teams- HUM/CPU

All at 50 for now, may adjust after playing a few games.

Guys please test out sliders and give feedback. Just use what marino and I have posted for a base, and give feedback from there. Thanks! Community effort is needed. This is the lest I can do for the guys creating the rosters! Thank you for you roster guys, much appreciated!

Re: All-American Post Patch Slider Discussion

I just started my UF (me) vs. UGA game over because I was tweaking the sliders like a lunatic. Very small sample size, but I'm going to start a new game with the same teams right now UF (me) vs. UGA on All-American.

9 minute quarters.

HUM/CPU

QB Accuracy 40 / 40 (At 45 they were a little too accurate)
Pass Blocking 45 / 45
WR Catching 45 / 45
RB Ability 50 / 55 (CPU runs better, but if too high they run herky-jerky)
Run Blocking 50 / 55

Pass Coverage 50 / 50
Pass Rush 75/ 75
INT 0 / 0
Rush Defense 50 / 50
Tackling 50 /50 (at 40 I saw too many broken tackles)

FG Power 5 / 5
FG Accuracy 15 / 25 - In my test game, I saw one missed XP by CPU (at 15) and a shanked FG from 32 yards...by me. LOL
Punt Power 40 / 40
Punt Accuracy 45 / 45
KO Power 55 / 55 - At 65 the CPU and I were hitting deep and out of the endzone)

I think kickoff return blocking may be tied to Run Block. Not 100% sure though. When I had it up to 60 on each side, I was seeing a lot of knockdown blocks on KRs.

Re: All-American Post Patch Slider Discussion

Game 1 in the books.

Alabama(me) 23 Auburn(CPU) 14

First Downs: 12-11
Total Offense: 237-217
Rushing:28-71-0/17-60-1
Completion-Att-TD: 11-19-1/16-25-1
Passing Yards: 166-157
3rd Down Conv: 8-13(61%)/ 5-8(62%)
Turnovers: 0-2
KR Yards: 113-192
Total Yards: 375-412
Penalties: 2-14/1-0
T.O.P.: 11:30-8:57

Game Notes: I think Pass Rush at 100 is the way to go, while I was able to get into the QB's face more often, it still felt like he had more time then needed.

Penalties sliders were not adjusted. I will see what you guys use for that.

It was great to have such a defensive battle that was missing in NCAA last year.

I'm with you on that one, i just tried FSU (me) vs VT (cpu) with the sliders marino had posted at the bottom of page 1 which had CPU run block set to 70. On my opening kickoff my coverage team were all on their backs before they knew it and VT took it back for an easy 6. Second kickoff same thing happened but i got lucky and pulled off a shoestring tackle at the 45.

On the plus side i definitely got shredded up nicely by VT's run game though which is awesome to see on AA difficulty.

Re: All-American Post Patch Slider Discussion

Yeah, I lowered both the CPU Running back ability and the Run Blocking to 55. At 70 for RB ability, the CPU seemed like it didn't know which direction it wanted to go.

Re: All-American Post Patch Slider Discussion

So i just went into practice mode, michigan vs michigan to test kickoffs, and there seems to be something to the kick return blocking being tied to run blocking idea. I left all other sliders at default, AA difficulty and didn't take control of anyone after the kick (just let the CPU run the coverage for me). Tried a few kicks with CPU run blocking at 50, then at 55, and there was a tremendous difference in the amount of knockdown blocks i saw. With it at 55 my cover team was getting knocked on their backs allowing for a couple easy td returns and moving it down to 50 eliminated this from happening. Just wondering if any of you guys who are moving the run blk slider up for the CPU are also seeing this happen or if its something i'm maybe doing differently that's causing it.
