One thing I have to mention is that I use Mustangs roster set. It has reduced the speed of many players from the default roster level. So if you are playing with rosters with alot of players with speeds in the 90's, your results will vary. Thanks.

Fist -

I'll give these a shot this weekend.

I just finished playing 5 games with DJs AA sliders, and I've posted all of my results in his thread. It's a good read, and you may find some useful information in there.

Anyway, I think the USER running game is a little over-powered in his set of sliders. Be sure to check out the 5 games I posted there.

Cool, just updated these again, give them a whirl. I think they are real close.

Re: FistofRage's 2012 All-American Sliders

Hey Fist -

So I played two games last night with the sliders as shown on page 1. Statistically, they look pretty good. But I have to say, I didn't have any fun playing these games at all.

The cpu pass rush was in my face so much, the defensive lineman would jump up to block passes about 20% of the time. Offensive lineman would simply kiss them as they ran right past them, forcing me to throw the ball while falling backwards. Both of my starting quarterbacks got injured in the games. The other 20% of the time, I would get sacked before I could get the ball out of my hands. And my receivers simply didn't have anywhere near enough time to run a medium length crossing pattern.

I usually run some playaction passes to keep the defense honest, but I could never complete anything calling these plays. I was either sacked or hit right as I threw the ball. Playaction plays were simply automatic incompletions or sacks.

The running game felt just fine. No issues there - although I'd like to see the tackling slider reduced to see more gang tackling, and to improve the CPU rushing game.

To be honest, I'm torn between two sets of sliders. I really liked DJs passing sliders for the user, but I think your user rushing sliders are more realistic. I think you've got the CPU offense about right. Maybe reducing the tackling slider should do it.

Anyway, here's the results of the 1st game:

Score: Vandy 13 - Alabama(me) 28
First Downs: 14 / 15
Total Offense: 256 yds / 234 yds
Rushes-Yds-TD: 34-83-0 / 37-163-3
Comp-Att-TD: 14-25-1 / 7-19-1
Passing Yds: 173 / 70
3rd Dwn Conv: 3-12(25%) / 3-10(30%)
4th Dwn Conv: 2-3(66%) / 2-2(100%)
Red Zone-TD-FG: 1-1-0(100%) / 3-3-0(100%)
Turnovers: 3 / 2
Fumbles (Lost): 2(2) / 0(0)
Interceptions: 1 / 2
Punts Avg: 3-42.3 / 5-43.8
Penalties-Yds: 7-45 / 3-30
TOP: 16:27 / 15:33
TFL: 5 / 11
Sacks: 2 / 5
Pass Deflections: 4 / 7
Field Goals: 2-2 / 0-0
WR Drops: 3 / 3
Pancakes: 2 / 0
Broken Tackles: 1 / 3

Analysis: Vandy's pass rush was unbelievable. I could only complete 7-19 passes, with 2 interceptions and 2 sacks. I think 5 or 6 passes were immediately knocked down by pass rushers right in my face. The game would have been a lot closer if Vandy's QB hadn't fumbled the ball twice. Giving me great field position.

Re: FistofRage's 2012 All-American Sliders

Here are the statistics from game 2 last night:

Score: Kentucky(me) 24 - Notre Dame 27
First Downs: 13 / 21
Total Offense: 252 yds / 514 yds
Rushes-Yds-TD: 28-72-2 / 26-83-0
Comp-Att-TD: 14-29-0 / 28-41-3
Passing Yds: 180 / 431
3rd Dwn Conv: 4-13(30%) / 4-10(40%)
4th Dwn Conv: 1-2(50%) / 0-1(0%)
Red Zone-TD-FG: 2-1-1(100%) / 6-2-2(66%)
Turnovers: 1 / 2
Fumbles (Lost): 0(0) / 1(1)
Interceptions: 1 / 1
Punts Avg: 5-40.8 / 4-48.0
Penalties-Yds: 5-33 / 6-45
TOP: 19:14 / 12:46
TFL: 8 / 12
Sacks: 5 / 6
Pass Deflections: 8 / 8
Field Goals: 1-1 / 2-2
WR Drops: 3 / 3
Pancakes: 0 / 0
Broken Tackles: 1 / 1

Analysis: Floyd went off in the first half, catching two deep balls in the endzone for touchdowns. Zone, man, whatever I called, it didn't matter. He was unstoppable.

This game really wasn't as close as it appears. Notre Dame was up by two touchdowns and was inside the 5 yardline about to go up by 3 touchdowns - when Wood fumbled the ball, and I picked it up and ran it back 95 yards for a touchdown to bring it within 7. I scored another TD shortly thereafter to tie the game. But ND kicked a game winning FG with no time left.

I was forced to throw the ball a lot this game, and it was painful each time. Six(6) sacks and 14-29 passing. The only plays I could complete were short curls by the TE, or short routes while in the shotgun. Each time I tried to run a crossing pattern or medium to deep route, I would get sacked or the ball batted back in my face.

I really, really miss my play-action calls. That's part of my game, and right now, they're simply useless.

Re: FistofRage's 2012 All-American Sliders

To be honest, I think we need to go back to Heisman and just try to open things up a bit more by decreasing the Interceptions slider.

The CPU is just so much smarter on Heisman. They call a better variety of plays, different formations, and the CPU rushing game is outstanding.

I may go back to your old Heisman sliders and do some more testing with the Int slider down a bit. And I'll also use the penalty sliders that you have listed on AA.
